Very cool place, clean, has all the kitchen things we wanted. Really a cool place to stay. One bed mattress was a bit squeaky and could be replaced.Towels could be more absorbent.
Absolutely loved the property. Not much to do in the area, but we stayed there so we could drive around to the different parks and it was good for that.
The apartment could not have had a better location. We enjoyed the little balcony when the sun was out. The water pressure in the shower was phenomenal. The kitchen is small but well appointed. We had a couple of minor issues that were quickly resolved by a very responsive property manager. Highly recommended!
The property was amazing. It was so fun to imagine all the things that happened in this historic space over the years. We enjoyed looking through the old books and Hollywood memorabilia. The one complaint we had is that the property was cold. We figured out how to use the old heater, but never did get it to a comfortable temperature. The kids slept with their fleece jackets on, so that helped. Even with the heating problem, I do recommend this property and would stay here again!
5 of us had to book a last-minute trip home to Eureka, and were worried we would all have to book expensive hotel rooms. We found this gem and were able to book the weekend no problem. As someone who was born and raised in Eureka, then moved away, what a treat it was to be able to spend the weekend in such an iconic, historic building.
Communication was immediate upon confirmation, and the manager was super responsive throughout our stay.
The space itself was HUGE! More than enough room to accommodate the 5 of us. It was clean, and beautifully appointed with period era furnishings, and artwork. You can even see a little piece of the original theater carpet, which we all ooh'd and ahh'd over!
Location to downtown is super walkable, and the pizza place downstairs was a great option for us to go for dinner close to "Home".
We would be so happy to book this space again on our next visit! Thank you for having us, and for allowing us to spend time in your home.
What a property! So unique and interesting. Very well maintained and stocked. We walked to restaurants and just enjoyed hanging out in the wonderful space. If we come back to Eureka, we are looking at this first! Highly recommend.
The apartment was more than we could have expected. From the vintage art deco furnishings to the appliances, everything was beautiful. We enjoyed spending time on the balcony and in the sunroom. Everything we needed was readily available including a full sized stacked washer and dryer. The apartment is huge and could comfortably accommodate a family of 6 or more. We would love to stay again.
Near old town Eureka, walking distance to shops and dinging. Very cute art deco apartment. Only issue is parking can be an issue, may have to park a block or two away if close by eateries are full.
The moment we walked in we were thrilled. The place is beautifully restored and very comfortable. We had everything we needed, and were very grateful for the washer and dryer. The location is within walking distance is dozens of great places to eat, including pizza right next door. Easy to get to the grocery store as well if you decide to cook in the well equipped kitchen. The retro decor is very well done and made me curious about the history of the place. I highly recommend this spot and would be thrilled to come back!
