can't say I loved the place. It's in need of some upgrades . The cottage was cheap and we needed a getaway. You get a little less than what you pay for. We stayed in one of the cottages up front. The London flat room. The room is drafty with gaps in the doorway. The mattress was very uncomfortable. The shower is tiny and you can't adjust the head so short people like myself just get blasted in the face the whole time. The mini fridge froze everything we put in there. My husband commented that it was like staying in an RV. The ac unit was dirty and musty. Not a pleasant stay.A couple little updates and the place could be so much better.
Very quaint and nostalgic. Would have been very quiet but a motorcycle rally was in town. The scenery and mountain side were beautiful. Would definitely stay there again!
The location was great if youâre not wanting to walk to city center. Thereâs a good amount of restaurants around but if youâre wanting to experience Eureka, itâs tricky w travel as there is no Uber in the area.
The cottage itself has an extremely strong musty/ old smoke smell, unable to stay and ended up renting another space closer in town for our needs.
Beautiful location, great cottage, would recommend and stay again. Needs 2 towel hooks in the bathroom. Internet was super slow but that wasn't really why we were there.
We didn't stay, and the property mgr gave us a much nicer place to stay at no additional charge. The room was very smelly and musty. Did not smell clean at all.
Room was dirty upon arrival (used tissue and food wrapper on night stand, hairs in and around tub).
Room in disrepair: front door not hung, and light coming through the top and bottom. Threshold between bathroom and main room coming up with screws protruding.
It was very cute. But the toilet was broken and every time we showered, the water got everywhere and would soak the floor which required use of our limited towels
very poor service. property misrepresented in advertising. cost is very high for the quality of the service. More bang for the same buck at Holiday Inn. Which is where we ended up moving to after canceling the last two nights of our stay.
Location was great very scenic area .close to everything including shopping and dining options.not alot of amenities tv reception lttle off and on but overall good experience .
Old out dated with window ac unit that did not cool the area. Ants but they did leave a can of ant spray. Shrubs in front of doorway, wood around window falling off. Grounds unkept. This property does not allow for cancellations so that should have been my clue. They know people would cancel upon arrival and seeing the condition of property. This is our first bad experience with Hotels.com so has me rethinking using again. This was a costly trip to be uncomfortable.
LOVE how unique this property is. The owners communicated best directions and were quick responders! I would recommend Oak Crest to anyone visiting this area.
