Stayed two nights in a row. First night was flawless. Second night it snowed and nobody attempted to shovel and I fell shoveling out my own parking spot and again wheeling my suitcase through the parking lot to the door. The next morning, still nothing was shoveled. The walkways were covered in slush and ice.

The hotel staff-named Vanessa, set the pace for ease of stay with courteous and warm reception. She obliged me with every details for memorable stays. In fact she earned the hotel my 5-star rating. However, my assigned room was neatly arranged, the bathroom cleaned, and kitchen was provided with necessary items. The only minus was unavailability of breakfast, except coffee/tea. Unlike other Candlewood hotels which I have stayed in the past, Washington Fairfax lacked breakfast option, so also lacked in-door relaxation space away from own-hotel room.

The decor is a little dated but otherwise this was a really nice place to stay for several nights. I had everything I needed—refrigerator, dishes, dishwasher, kitchen sink, coffee pot and 2 burner stove. The bed was really comfortable, it was very clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
