We have been staying at Pala Mesa for the past several years, our son is a narine at pendleton, n he n his family live down street in fallbrook. I like to exercise n swim, both have been closed since we have been coming. There is no microwave in room. We stay for convenience, the price is not great,

The room was clean and fine. My critique was the service from the lounge and lack of staffing. We waited more than 15 minutes at the hostess stand to be seated. We were barely acknowledged other than they were short staffed, which was valid. They were stressed, tables were left uncleared, etc. Food was not great. I had three visits to the lounge during the stay and all were mediocre at best. I went to the front desk for a receipt of my stay and was met with a sign that says someone would be available shortly and thanking me for my patience. I never did see anyone or get a paper receipt. This property has pending renovations, and is need of them. Overall I was disappointed and would not recommend. I recognize staffing issues, but a smile and acknowledgement goes a long way. Offering a seat and a beverage during the wait would've solved it, but was not offered.

The place was pretty empty but they seem yo put all guests packed in 1 or 2 buildings. We ended up in the room next to people who played music loud all night and couldn’t sleep much. We didn’t want to complain because we were afraid of retaliation. I wish they assigned the rooms more spread out coz walls were thin and we could hear people talking too.

Secluded and quiet, welcoming staff, on site restaurant, beautiful golf course, beautifully directed, inviting staff, comfortable and well appointed rooms. I live in the area and this is my go to for any guests or business associates coming to town. It is a great option, never disappointed. A++++
