Beautiful house, lake and location! Loved everything about it. Super appreciated all the "extras' from the host. Enjoyed mornings on the lake and exploring some of the nearby towns. Large bedroom was even bigger than expected. House reminded me so much of visiting my Grandmother, in all the best ways. Would love to visit again!

We had a fantastic time during our week on the lake. The house is just as pictured. The lake views are beautiful and the yard is nicely shaded in the afternoon. We had our 16-month-old daughter with us and it was perfect that the lake was shallow at about 1-2 feet of water from shore to the end of the dock. She was able to end sit down in it and play with the sand. We truly enjoyed our stay and planned to come back in the future.

Perfect summer vacation

We are so glad we chose the Cute as The Dickins cottage for our summer vacation. The cottage was impeccably clean, comfortable and homey and Kym was an attentive host making sure everything was perfect. We loved the location being so close to Lake Michigan beaches so we could enjoy both lakes. We will definitely book again in the future if we plan another Michigan vacation!

Perfect spot in Fennville,MI

We had an excellent time staying at this lovely cottage! It was amazingly clean and we didn't want for anything! The beds were super comfy and we really appreciated having the sheets and towels provided for us. Fennville is a great location with a cute town and very conveniently located close to Lake Michigan,Saugatuck,Douglas,Holland and South Haven. We enjoyed relaxing by the lake and making yummy s'mores. Kym was very easy to get ahold of and answered our many questions promptly. We had a wonderful vacation and hope to visit this area and this property again some day. Thank you Kym for sharing all your knowledge of the area with us and providing us with a wonderful place to stay!

Relaxing Famiy Time

We enjoyed our family getaway at Hutchins Lake, especially fishing, going to the sandbar, and sharing family meals. The kitchen was well stocked with everything to prepare meals and the hostess is very welcoming and had surprises for us. The cottage is wonderful and provides space for all. A wonderful place for vacations.

Comfortable, quaint cottage

If you are looking for a cottage that is a great place to relax and enjoy the lake with your family, this is the place to be! The cottage was clean and had all the amenities needed to enjoy your stay. Great location and sandy shallow lakefront to enjoy the water. We really enjoyed our time at the lake and look forward to returning next summer!

Everything was in working order. Kym was responsive to questions. Exactly as listed.The lake front view is a seller but absolutely loved the retro authentic mid century decorative touches taking care not to disturb the original decor.I love this place and will return again…

Beautiful location, Beautiful Cottage!

Idyllic, cute cottage right on Hutchins Lake, immaculate and clean and really well stocked. Had a great time using the kayaks and loved grilling outside. It was peaceful and serene and the perfect location to escape busy life and switch off for a few days. Kym was kind enough to send us lots of recommendations and super easy to communicate. Would love to stay again in future.

We enjoyed this property immensely! From water activities on the lake to s’more’s around the campfire in the evening. Kym was very gracious and accommodating every need and then some. Would highly recommend this property for all ages and families.

Beautiful location on the water with a deck, fishing boat, kayaks, and a paddle boat. The house had everything we needed to cook dinners and a great spot to eat outside.

Great vacation stay

Second year renting here. Great both times. Good for kayaks, paddle boat, swimming, younger children and up. Wineries, fruit picking and great beaches nearby (South Haven, Holland, Oval Beach, and Saugatuck Dunes and city all within 20-25 minutes). Nice cottage with what you need for your stay.

Adorable lakeside retreat

This home is very cute and the perfect lakeside retreat for my family of 7. The kitchen is retro in style and super cute. It was well stocked with dishes, cookware and spices. The lakefront has a nice sandy bottom and you can wade out quite a ways. There were kayaks, a canoe and paddle boat. It’s wonderful to wake up and have a cup of coffee on the front or back porch. The location is a great base for exploring surrounding towns like Muskegon, Grand Haven, South Haven, Holland and Saugatuck. Cranes Pie Pantry is a quick 5 minute drive and there are several cute restaurants nearby like Roots and the Blue Goose. I would definitely return to this home. Kym is a great host and was quick to answer my questions and offer suggestions.

We enjoyed our entire weekend at the cabin. The views of the lake were lovely and the cabin was spotless. The only blip was not being able to communicate with the owners through VRBO's site, but we resolved that by using text messages. All in all a wonderful experience. Thanks Kym and Bob

This was a great place to stay. House was exactly as described. The owners were very gracious. My only complaint was that I could not respond to the owners during our stay because the security codes VRBO sent would not go through. There has to be a better way than using these codes. We would absolutely stay there again.

My family and I stayed at Cute as the Dickins cottage and had a great time. The owners were wonderful to deal with and very accommodating. The cottage was very clean and had everything you would need to make you feel at home. We have 3 boys and they had a great time in the lake and fishing, even our 2 1/2 year old could wade out just fine and safely. The is plenty to do near Fennville if you want to get out and explore too. We would definitely recommend staying.

Something for everyone!

Everything about the cottage was wonderful. The cottage had everything anyone could need for a great family vacation. The space was perfect for family dinners and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. Views of the lake were amazing, the water was clear and shallow(bring your fold up camp chairs and sit in the the water and soak up the sunshine). Beautiful hydrangeas around the house,plenty of seating on the patio, large shade tree made everything so wonderful. Fennville was the perfect location for our group which consisted of ages from 14 to 78, so much to do within 20 miles such as vineyards, antiques, berry picking, art galleries, rock hunting, beautiful lake michigan, movie theaters, paint your own pottery and tons of restaurants and that's if you feel like leaving the house. Communication from Kim was great! The Schott's will definitely be back!

Exceptionally clean & very welcome

Kym, the host was awesome! She reached out right after we booked and touched base a few times to make sure we didn't need anything. She went above and beyond at the house making us feel welcomed. It was by far one of the cleanest houses we've ever rented . The house has absolutely everything that you would need. And it is absolutely " Cute as a Dickens". Thank you so much for sharing your home with us!
