The house was wonderful for our trip with my family and my sister's family. We loved how it was a mix of modern and cabin. The kids loved how there were a ton of stuffed bears. The house was very well stocked with kindling for the fire pit and a fully stocked kitchen with everything we needed.
We came up for a few days with our children, our youngest has special needs & uses a wheelchair. He also is allergic to fragrances. Host was very kind, accommodating & great to communicate with! Our son had no reactions, there were minimal entry steps & the shower had a long wand to bathe him with. We all slept great, beds were comfortable, neighborhood was quiet. One of the best places weâve stayed. Hiked & saw lots of wildlife. Older kids had so much fun playing games, making smores & exploring. Great food nearby. Thank you for a great experience!
Large cabin with lots of room. We had two families of 6 and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and relax. The wrap around deck was a peaceful setting for morning coffee, afternoon games, and evening drinks!
The property is very well appointed. Everything you may need in kitchen. We had an issue with the hot tub upon arrival but the owner had someone there to repair the very next day. The game room was our favorite since it rained much of the weekend.
We had a wonderful weekend here! Everything was as described in the listing. The property felt very homey and clean. We made use of the outdoor fire pit which was wonderful. The hot tub was in great shape, although we did not use it during the stay. The beds were comfortable and sheets very soft. The view was wonderful as well. The road driving in was very bumpy at points, but our vehicles made it without difficulty. Would definitely stay here again in the future!
Our family of 7 adults had a wonderful and relaxing getaway to the Wildlife Cabin for our "pre-thanksgiving" family gathering. The accomdations were immaculate, well-organized and well-stocked. The kitchen shelves were even labeled so that items could be put away in their proper places. There were ample towels, sheets, paper products, coffee, spices, etc. Our hosts - Edmund, Joshua and Hema were so thoughtful to leave us a bottle of complimentary wine and goodies - such a lovely touch!
The beds were so comfortable, with an extra blanket at the foot of each one. The game room was great for family championship matches of foosball, pingpong and air hockey!
While we saw no wildlife, not even a bird, (due to the recent hurricane??) we were blessed with a beautiful early morning snowfall for a few hours in this cozy cabin with a roaring fire in the fireplace to set the mood. The hot tub was a relaxing bonus after a vigorous hike.
Our family is praying for the Western Carolina families and businesses who were so heavily affected by the hurricane. The Wildlife Cabin had no damages (except to the side of the firepit outside), but we did see damages in the area. We went into Asheville for a movie. Businesses were open and are welcoming tourists back to the area. The Wildlife Cabin is a great place to stay while helping to support the affected communities rebuild their economy!
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It was even more impressive in person. The kids loved the games puzzles and the game room at the cabin. The mountain view was beautiful !! I would highly recommend!!
This was our first time visiting the Asheville area and this home in the mountainside was great. We enjoyed the serenity and views. The visiting wildlife was a plus. Highly recommended!
We absolutely loved this property. It was just perfect for us, with great spaces and a great layout. The front porch was awesome; we spent so much time there after excursions. The location was perfect for us, tooâwe went on hikes down toward Chimney Rock and then went into Asheville for dinner and nightlife. We hope to return to this property again.
My family and I stayed here for a couple of nights. There is a 20lb limit that wasnât relayed until after making the reservation so I contacted Edmund immediately for permission. He was very nice about allowing our two Samoyed dogs to stay with us! Just had to follow a couple of rules with not allowing them upstairs, on the furniture and not leaving them unattended. I didnât understand how thatâs different from a smaller dog but to each their own! Plus, his house, his rules! Home was very beautiful with a game room and hot tub! Beds upstairs were certainly comfy! Thank you, Edmund!

Cabin has many conveniences and fun things to do. We had a wonderful long weekend exploring Asheville by day and hanging out at the cabin at night. Bummed we didnât see a bear, but had a great time!
We were 8 adults, one toddler and a 8 month baby. The house had a bit for everyone to enjoy themselves. The trail was great, just wished it was longer. We did have a visitor both nights we stayed (black bear), but there were no issues with safety. Just park your car far from the trash bin :) we all agreed that we will be back. Our host was super nice and responsive. The complementary bottle of wine was a nice touch to welcome us to the home. 5 stars!
We loved our stay at this cabin. Great location, close to Asheville and close to many great water falls and hiking trails. The house was clean and accommodated our large family well. Great for kids.
The place was so beautiful and cozy. Exactly as pictures show. Everyone has an incredibly comfortable bed (best weâve ever had at a rental)!!! We will use again!
Had a wonderful time at the house. The host has included many thoughtful details (including smores supplies and firewood). The game room was great for family time and the dining room could seat everyone (even a highchair for the toddler!). The property was beautiful and convenient to Asheville and Hendersonville. Would gladly stay again.
Great property with rooms for all 6 friends. Beautiful balcony for coffee in the morning. Quick access to the blue ridge mountains for hiking and downtown Asheville and breweries. Close to the Biltmore mansion and shoppes. Trail at house is very steep and slippery. Would not recommend for beginner hikers.
