8/10 Good

We had a good stay at this VRBO in Florence, especially if you’re looking to experience a more local, non-touristy side of the city. The neighborhood had a relaxed, slower pace and was surrounded by great restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets, which made it really convenient for everyday needs. The apartment itself is on the 2nd floor (about four flights of stairs) with no elevator. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it’s something to keep in mind for anyone with mobility concerns or lots of luggage.Inside, the space was well laid out (if is not pulled out into a bed as it then blocks the door). The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to cook meals and make coffee each morning, which we really appreciated. Communication with the management company was smooth and responsive—they even dropped off toilet paper quickly after it was accidentally missed during setup. There were a couple of downsides worth noting. The couch isn’t the most comfortable for sleeping, so if you’re planning to use it as a bed, just be aware. Also, there’s a small dog next door that barked quite a bit from the mornings into the afternoons, which could be a bit disruptive at times.Overall, a solid stay in a great local neighborhood—especially for those wanting a more authentic Florence experience.
