Awesome hotel

We had an excellent 2 night stay. Location is convenient, very close to the train station. Staff is courteous and friendly. Breakfast is great. Very safe place. Room doesnt smell like cigarette smoke and is very clean and they stock the fridge daily with no charge. Will definitely recommend.

Loved the location. Walkable from the train station even with luggage. Nice breakfast with spectacular views. Loved the little terrace off of our room. Hated the small bathroom. The tub/shower was to narrow and very dangerous to get in and out of…..so much so they had an emergency pull cord right in the tub. Hair dryer was mounted way too high with a very short cord on it. Very difficult to use. Good location for walking to just about anywhere in the city.

Hot was very nice and conveniently located 3-5 city blocks from Florence City Center. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would recommend making Hotel Restaurant reservation prior to arrival to get the benefit of the “beautiful roof top view of Florence”. We stayed 3 days and could not get reservations. Overall very good experience!

The hotel is right next to the train station of arriving my train or the metro/tram if you take the tram from the airport €1.70, bargain! I loved the public areas of the hotel, very shabby chic and now. Unfortunately our room was very tired. It was spotless and I slept well, but it could really have done with a paint job and some updating. Breakfast was nice on floor 5 and the staff were wonderful. I’d go back, but I would pay more for a better room.

I think the horel was lovely except very dark. Carpet walls as well as furniture too dark. But otherwise good. 1st room was way too small for the amount paid and air-conditioning could be better.

Beautifully restored hotel situated very conveniently across from the train station and within easy walking distance of the main city sights. Beautiful views from the rooftop terrace, with panoramic views of Florence. One of the best buffet breakfasts we have had, including a full spread of both Italian and American favourites, along with free flowing cappuccino and mimosas. However, the restaurant pricing was very high given the quality and portions served, and service was so slow at lunch that we were late for a guided tour. Stay here, but eat lunch/dinner elsewhere.

Ideally located historic property tries hard but needs an update. White paint needed. Dark, almost medieval, atmosphere gives the hotel a somber appearance. Our room, a suite, did have nice space but was essentially windowless (2 windows looked into walls or alleys darker than the hotel). Room was clean enough but evidence from past guests remained - ick. One spectacular bright spot is the rooftop space for breakfast and evenings.

Great location and experience

Easy access from the train station of about a 3 minute walk. Right on the edge of the main shopping and attraction action of Florence so you do not feel like you are right in the crowds. The view from the bar/restaurant are great also. Service was always accommodating and the food was good. The shower/bath was a little crowded with how the fictures are placed but otherwise the bathroom was fine, the room was good, everything was clean and fun. I would recommend this to my friends also.
