Location is an area with many stores and walking distance (5 mins) to many restaurants and attractions, we walked to everything. We had a group of seven persons and the three sleeping areas worked out well for us, just note that one of the beds is in an open loft area. Also, lots of steep steps in the apartment so keep that in mind with young kids and elderly. The check in was fantastic as well as all the communications. We got in to Florence early and were able to leave all our bags with the host and came back later to check in - this was GREATLY APPRECIATED. They even moved our bags to the apartment for us, WOW!
Family of 6 traveling to Florence for first time. Excellent communication with the property manager. We had a chef come and he did a pasta cooking class for us which was a lot fun. Very convenient and easy walk to the main sites.
Pros -1. Location is convenient to everything2. Very clean3. Elevator (only takes you to the first of a three level apt)4. Air Conditioning worked great!5. Washing machine6. Has all the soaps, hair dryers, paper products7. There is a coffee shop three doors downCons1. There are NOT three bedrooms and a sleeping loft. There are two bedrooms, one with a big closet, and a sleeping loft 2. The apt is 3 floors. The stairs are steep. The elevator offers no help maneuvering in the apt.3. Only one set of keys which complicates dividing the group for different activities 4. The host offers no help with arranging transfersOverall, this was a great place to stay with friends and family. We got the Glovo app to have sundries, food, and wine delivered. The grocery stores arenât super close so Glovo came to our rescue.I have no idea what you would do with a car if you rented one. We used a taxi app which worked great.
This is the first place that we stayed in Italy. My expectations may not be in touch with reality. With that being said, the apartment itself is magical in its own way, uncertainly authentic to Florence. The antiquity surrounds you giving you that European experience that many travelers are seeking. In my case Iâm traveling with my family who are not quite as adventurous as Only drawbacks might be with the size of bathrooms, lighting issues, or overall cleanliness. In all fairness, I will say that the place is extremely clean and well kept, and that this is Italy and that anyone should lower their expectations when comparing it to something Modern In this case this numerous stairs could be a concern for some families. I thought all of these features are part of the experience and makes it cool and unique to Florence but my wife feels otherwise. Apartment was overall accommodating and perfect for our family and while I have no actual hotels that I can compare it to, I thought this apartment was unique and historic and special.
Excellent property and location. As described in reviews, there are a lot of steps but completely manageable. Responsive host. Only negative was that lights in the common stairwell were inoperable at night.
We were a group of 7, all adults this location was great. 10 to 15 walk to almost everything. The rental was great, and beautiful. This may have been my fault but we had an elderly person with us and it was a little hard for her to use the stairs, but we made it work. Both bedrooms are up on top of 3 floors. Middle flĂłor was the loft which had a sofa bed. Overall I thought the vrbo was great. Thank you
This is my second time at this property and loved it even more. everything was great. Location was incredible close to everythung and loved all of the space for our group. We will be back!
We loved the property location âŠ
Steps were both inside and outside the property
The inside steps were to the bedrooms this was not clear on the property description
Other observations
â1st floor bathroom toilet keeps running
â air conditioners were not very cooling
â refrigerator light bulb is flashing -may need to be replaced
This was my friends and I first time in Florence, we wanted a place close to the action so we could walk places. This was the perfect location for us, right near the river, near shops and restaurants, and a close walk to all of the sites.
Also, big bonus in the Italian summer it had AC. We loved the aesthetic of the home, it was classic and beautiful. Plenty of space for our group which had 5 of us and a baby. There are quite a bit of stairs, so make sure you are comfortable with that. If itâs not an issue, than this is the perfect spot.
The hosts were very easy to communicate with, and the check in process was easy as well.
We definitely would stay here again if we were in Florence! Thank you!!!
1st impression. This apartment is on the top floor and the elevator is a 2person max that is very finicky. So if you are a family, like we were, with luggage for everyone it is a very challenging process as you will have to stack some luggage and only one person will fit. Inside the apartment, it is a 2 bedroom with an open loft. The 2 bedrooms each have their own en-suite bathroom but they are all very small. Like cruise ship small. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other has 2 twin beds. The open loft has a sofa bed but you will either have to go downstairs or upstairs into a bedroom to use a bathroom. The living area is very spacious. Kitchen has a lot to be desired but honestly how much are you using that anyway. It has a dorm room style fridge but can easily hold some drinks if needed
Now onto the location. This place is in a magnificent location and that trumps everything else in my mind. I would 100% stay here again because of that. I would definitely recommend unless you have someone that canât really deal with stairs as the elevator to get up to the floor is tricky and the stairs inside the apartment are plentiful and very steep and tight.
The apartment is exactly as pictured - great space for a family or large group. We used the kitchen every morning for breakfast and sat around the table every evening sharing stories and playing games. The location is amazing - you can walk to anything from the apartment within 15 minutes (the train station, every major attraction and great shopping). Be aware, that if you have anyone who is not super mobile, there IS an elevator to the apartment, but within the apartment itself all of the bedrooms require very steep stairs. We would stay there again - super quiet, very clean and fantastic location.
My family and I enjoyed our stay at your place in Florence. The location was perfect and we had plenty of space for all six of us to sleep and each shared a bathroom/shower with one person from our group. Definitely will come back and stay at your place again. Thank you.
This location couldn't have been any better. It is close to everything. We had a good stay and lots of great memories.
Finding the location wasn't easy apple maps had us a block away, the instructions via email didn't help much and communication with the host was hit and miss. It says it sleep 7 and that is really pushing it. The listing say 3 rooms in one spot and 4 rooms in another spot. Itâs 2 rooms an a loft and there is a cot for a 7th person you can pull into a room or the loft. The apartment is much darker than the pictures lead you to believe. We had lots of stairs everywhere we stayed in Italy but this place had by far the most. If you don't have someone with some muscle this isn't the place for you if you have suitcases.
This rustic Italian apartment is located in a fantastic area in the heart of Florence. The host was helpful by phone when we arrived early in allowing us to store our luggage at the apartment while it was being cleaned. He also allowed us to leave the luggage a couple hours later at the end of our stay since we had a later flight. Please know that there are many stairs in the apartment. You have to climb two flights of narrow winding stairs inside the apartment to get to the two bedrooms. There is a loft on the middle âfloorâ. I would not recommend it for families with young children or elderly people. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we wanted to make sure that people understood the property. We loved the location. Very close to everything.
The apartment was spare but fine - nothing fancy but comfortable. However, what isn't mentioned is that there are very very steep and narrow stairs throughout that are dangerous for little kids or older people. And while there is an elevator, it stops 8 steep steps before the apartment door.
This was an excellent stay. Highly recommend. Only suggestion is that couch bed could be better. And we desired a few more blankets in the apartment. Overall very good stay!
The location is great to walk to anything in Florence. The street is quiet and safe. We stayed here for 5 days over thanksgiving break.
We messaged to share/get check in details a week prior to our arrival based on other reviews and they did not respond. The locks and check in are automated and I had to call them when we arrived 15 minutes prior to the electronic locks being activated. They were able to do this remotely.
I wish they had any information about the climate control posted in the apartment. The heater clanged for an hour and a half one night before we finally figured out that the dial had inadvertently been left on and we think the temp dropped enough in the night to trigger it. We would have contacted the host during our stay but we fixed the issue ourselves.
Plan to have your coffee on the way out in the many cafes nearby.
It would be helpful to provide nearby grocery stores or recommendations as the kitchen only has basic necessities.
The decor in the was really stunning and the bedrooms layout was very private except the loft bed above the living area. The wine bar across the street was super friendly and recommended some great bottles.
This is an apartment with a lot of history. Would have enjoyed more information about the people who lived there in the past. It was a great experience for all of us.
Great location and easy access to most of Florence. The apartment was lovely, plenty of space for us all and AC units in each bedroom. The only issue we had was accessing the apartment, we didnât receive check in access and had to call to receive it. But otherwise all was wonderful and perfect for us.
A short stay in Florence with family and friends. 3 couples and the apartment worked really well. Location is excellent and we had an enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Great communication with Pietro - thanks!
Would happily stay again.
This apartment is not in livable condition especially with kids - unacceptable conditions, extremely hot and not suitable for small children.
We left the apartment soon after checking in and book a hotel spending a lot of extra money but worth it.
Please see below a list with things that we consider unsafe and not acceptable:
âą the multi stairs with unsafe handrail
âą the excessive heat inside with 2 small AC units that were barely working. Inside the apartment it was so hot we were sweating constantly doing nothing just seating on the living room couch.
âą the bathrooms are dirty and the floors were filthy.
âą the kitchen looks and smells like a barn with the fridge acting weird.
âą unsafe extension cords in the kitchen (especially for kids )
âą the list is longer but I stop here
Pictures are deceiving and price quality is not there at all!
