This is our second time booking with the owners and the two places they host are both great with beautiful grounds and easy access to everything we need when we visit!
We enjoyed our stay! It was a nice getaway. Nice place with friendly host! Farm animals were cool. No TVâŠbed in loft which was ok for us but may be harder for some to get to. Overall good experience!
Pretty cabin perched over a pristine creek, the happy surprise of running into an exotic chicken, waking up and seeing more stars than I knew existed. Thank you for the hospitality!
The cabin we stayed in above the stream was a bit rustic and comfortable. Bigger than a tiny house to comfortably accommodate two people and a dog. Get ready to climb up to the loft bed with a window to look out onto the trees. The deck offers a table and place to grill and the feel is as though you're living in a tree house. Owners did a nice job decorating just enough as it was quaint, tidy, clean and a great way to get off the grid while having heat, lights and hot/cold running water on-demand. I really enjoyed stepping into the whiskey barrel shower stall. The composting toilet worked nicely. Mark took us up the hill to meet the family of goats and their guard dog. The owner's main house is close by, so if you need anything they're available. We were warmly greeted and the view is gorgeous.
Cabin is charming, and thoughtfully provisioned. Enjoyed hanging out on the deck and the gorgeous view from the top of the hill. It's a short trip to downtown Floyd, loved the Saturday market and the Coutry Store!
This was such a cozy and unique getaway!! My boyfriend and I had a great time and loved how clean/well taken care of the cabin was-super awesome place for an overnight stay:)
My husband, 10 yr old & puppy stayed here for 1 night while driving down to Carolina. I would say that staying here is like glamping. Itâs off grid so the toilet is a very different experience then we are used too lol. The water tank makes noise when using so being mindful of that if someone is sleeping. We got here @8pm & left early the next day so unfortunately we didnât get to enjoy the fire pit, goats & the scenery. I would recommend here for maybe a single person or a couple. Floyd is a great little town.
