The House was in good location and walking distance to beach. Laundry was inconvenient outside and down stairs. Also, laundry door was hard to get open with key. The kitchen has good supply of dishes and cooking utensils. The stove is gas however, and the two left cook eyes did not work. There was also a window that would not properly close. I called to report the stove and window so maintenance could fix those for next guest. We enjoyed our stay!

We had a fantastic time at Forest Avenue. It is a wonderful location! We had a girls trip and there was plenty of room for all of us. The pool was wonderful. We loved hearing the ocean waves at night. It was a great spot! We felt very safe and relaxed.

Great stay for families!

We stayed with our family and another - including several young kids. We had plenty of room and towels provided. The location is great - quiet/safe and short walk to the beach. We loved the option of the pool and the outdoor shower was a nice feature to rinse off after the beach. If we had a negative (as other reviews have mentioned), the deck is a bit older and we did notice some screw heads poking up and had a few splinters in kids feet, so something to be aware of. Communication was great and check in was easy- overall we had such a wonderful stay in Folly Beach and would recommend this place!

Just okay!

The place was alright! Picture made it look a lot better than it was. House is very outdated and old. No shower upstairs, only one shower in the whole house. Pool is an above ground pool and isn’t great. Better wear shoes on the deck or you’ll get splinters throughout all your feet. Great location next to the beach, however, very far from the town.

The home was spacious and clean. Location to beach was great. Beach wasn’t crowded at all. The view of the ocean from the home was better than pictures showed. You are close enough to hear the waves and feel the ocean breeze. The pool was a big hit with the kids. It was a great vacation spot and I would highly recommend it.

My family rented 4 other units, we used this unit to gather at. It was a great location. Nice little walk to the beach. Plenty of parking. Outdoor shower, pool, outdoor area made this a great place for us to gather.

Perfect Spot

This house was perfectly located. It was not right on the beach but a very close walk and for my family, it was perfect as we had 4 small children. The secluded location made it very peaceful. The home was in good condition and very clean.

Labor Day beach weekend

Great location. Beautiful right next to the marsh and the ocean. The porch and outside shower are the best parts! But the house itself needs some TLC. The laundry washer and dryer didn’t work, the water filter on the fridge did not work. There were just bar soaps in the bathroom (for the amount we are paying there should be at least shampoo conditioner in every bathroom and soft toilet paper.) Need a big comfy couch in the living room it’s chairs that recline which is nice in two spots but not a whole couch of recliners is uncomfortable. The pool is short too not even five feet. Overall it was a nice stay and I think if there were some small improvements it would make it even better.

Great location, clean home

We loved the location of this home, we swam in the pool everyday, and the home was very clean. You can comfortably walk to the beach or take a golf cart. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, had great communication with the property manager, and found the home to be comfortable.

FOLLY BEACH 2022

We really enjoyed the location of the property in a quiet area of Folly. Just a quick walk across the road to the beach, and the pool was fabulous to cool off. The house is spacious, the kitchen was well equipped. 2 things to note: The kitchen cabinets really need to be cleaned on the outside, and the cleaning crew really needs to be more detailed. I moved a nightstand in the twin room and there were items and dirt there. I also swept the downstairs daily and noticed that none of the furniture was ever cleaned under or moved. Not huge....but an item to tend to. Having a vacuum in the property would be beneficial to those of us who clean up after ourselves would be a huge plus. The AC works great on both floors. Having the outside shower was beneficial as well since there is only one shower in the main house. We loved the deck and porches and spent all of our evenings there after dinner.

Great house and good location at Folly

Two families stayed for the week and we had plenty of space to spread out and get privacy. The back deck overlooking the pool and a tiny slice of the ocean was a dream. The bugs were biting though so we bought some bug spray so we could continue back porch-sittin. The pool was a great size but it is all one depth and that was over my little one's head (she is 6 and is 4 feet tall). We made the best of it and enjoyed time in the pool. The furniture was comfortable and in good condition and the kitchen was well-stocked with what we needed. Our only complaints are the layout of the bathrooms - one upstairs for all three bedrooms and no shower in there. The second bathroom is downstairs and does have a small shower. Thank goodness for the outdoor shower. THAT IS THE BEST! and we all fought over it! The pool furniture seems to have taken a beating and the stairs getting in and out are a little wobbly. Still, it was clean and a great size for our group. The walk to the beach is not bad - some folks cut right over behind the pool and that shortened the walk. Even if you went by way of the gravel road, it was very short to the first beach access. We always went LEFT on Ashley and to the second COVERED access because it has a foot wash. And, we rented a golf cart for the week. It was worth every dime. You are not going to easily get any wagon or buggy to the beach and carrying all the goods for the kids is too much! The golf cart from Charleston Golf Cart rentals was perfect - ask for Brian. We drove it to the beach every day and to the store countless times. Bert's is a must. They have deeee-licious food and just about anything you need for your trip - great beer selection, cheese, meat, and toiletries. One stop shopping and they are open 24/7. We made two trips to Taco Boy for take out. Also delicious. I wish we had eaten in once since it is such a cool spot, but were beat! Folly, we will be back!

Perfect Vacation House

We absolutely loved staying at Sea Caught the Katy. Everything was perfect from start to finish. House was very clean and stocked with all the necessities. Plenty of towels and linens. We are a family of 5. Kids are ages 7,5, and 9 months and this house was perfect for us. Kids loved going in the pool, playing board games, and riding around folly beach in our rented golf cart. We ended up loving this spot so much that we booked an extra night and can not wait to come back again. Thank you so much for having us!
