This was an absolutely wonderful property to stay at. The pool and hot tub are the stars of the show, but the house is well laid out and designed. It felt homey and not sterile like some other rentals we've stayed at. The walk to the beach is simple, and we found the daily low tide to be magical. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect house for our family vacation!Layout of the house gave enough space for everyone, fenced yard perfect for our pups and the pool was enjoyed buy all. Location gave us easy access to the beach and center street. Folly Family Stay

My husband and I brought our two high school daughters, their two friends and our two dogs. The house was perfect for the amount of people and animals we had. We did not feel crowded at all! Weather was great, pool was warm and everything was close by and walking distance.

Off season beach fun

We had a great stay at Herons Hideaway. The house is spacious and was very clean and well stocked. The management team was very responsive to any problems we had. The area is very quiet and the pool/hot tube were great..

Great Stay

We had a great stay. The kids loved the pool. The bunk bed and Nintendo console in the jungle room were also big hits. The location was just a short walk to the beach. Overall we were happy with our stay.

Folly trip

Generally everything was fine, it was clean inside & the communication was good. The garbage disposal did not ever work, and I did not report as it was not a big deal, but there is no stopper for the sink & no disposal key to turn the blades. I could have made it work if that necessary tool was there. there was no broom that I could find, so the porch & pool area was a mess that I couldn't sweep off. Lastly the pool & hot tub were great, but of the 5 evenings we requested the hot tub to be turned on only ONE NIGHT did the tub jets come on correctly. the other nights it got hot, but the jets did not run. We also felt the outside ground surfaces & furniture should have been a good bit cleaner, the place needs a pressure washing & good tidying up. I only say this to enhance the property's value from a rental standpoint, had I actually seen this prior to renting I would have asked for a discount. Aside from those small inconveniences the overall quality of the property & location was fine.

Great House! A Few Hiccups

We rented this house for my sister’s bachelorette weekend. The house was absolutely beautiful and perfectly clean and ready for our arrival. When we arrived the pool was unfortunately full of leaves (understandable as pool cleaning was scheduled for Friday and we arrived Thursday night). However, the hot tub was completely empty when we arrived. The communication was a little bit difficult until we got an it too employee on the phone. After this it was smooth sailing and they were very helpful! We unfortunately were not able to access the bathroom in the basement due to a missing key, but the rest of the space was unlocked and available for use. Pool cleaning came on Friday morning and everything was in tip top shape for the rest of our weekend! Their policy states to not request early check-in, because they will notify you closer to the day of if the property I will be available early. We were notified at 1:58pm that it was available at 2 pm. I understand with cleaning schedules it may not be possible to give a better heads up, but if you are coming in from out of town you may want to plan to get into town earlier in case they text last minute about early check in. Besides, these few small hiccups, the house was absolutely perfect for our weekend and I would definitely stay here again!

great first visit to Folly Beach

We had a great time at this home. Lots and lots of positives and just the right size for our family of 6. The pool is amazing. the beds are very comfortable and the neighborhood is nice and quiet. The walk to the beach is more than 5 min but very doable. The kitchen is great. Lots of options for coffee making :) The only thing missing was a glass measuring cup and a pitcher to make sweet tea! Our boys loved the vintage video games in the bunk room. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

comfortable, charming stay

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The home was just as pictured, was clean and check-in was super easy. Response time to questions was fantastic. The pool is beautiful, and the walk to the beach was about 5 mins (once we figured out the 'secret' path/cut-through. We took daily early morning walks on the beach with our dog, which he loved as much as we did. If we travel through Charleston again, we will definitely try to stay here again. Thank you!

Perfect Family Vacation

This house was great for a family vacation! The location allows you to be able to walk to the beach and to restaurants. This is crucial during the summer months to avoid parking difficulties. The house was clean and well organized. The back porch was nice to eat out on and spend time with family. The pool was a great activity and kept my son entertained in the afternoon after a morning at the beach. The property manager was very helpful and timely with their responses. Would definitely stay at Heron Hideaway again.

Great rental with pool and screened cabana, a short walk to beach and Center Street

Clean, comfortable, and well-appointed house in a nice neighborhood a few blocks from the beach and Center Street. The pool area, with seating, hot tub, and a screened cabana, was fun and a great gathering place for our group. The property is well-decorated and well-maintained. We had a great time and we look forward to returning.
