5/5 location - super walkable and towels/linens were clean. The penthouse itself is spacious, but it's showing wear and tear from frequent large groups.Since it's a top-floor unit above other condos, nose seems to travel easily. We received 2 noice warnings on a Thursday night while just listening to music and playing board games in the living room, which was surprising and a bit frustrating. I would totally understand if we were blasting music outside, but with a group of 9, you shouldn't feel the need to tip toe around.

Family Fun

This property is just as depicted in the photos. The accommodations were comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed (we cooked most of our meals). The laundry had an apartment sized stackable washer/dryer unit. The porch was a fantastic gathering place and beach access was right across the street. Very conveniently located to a local grocery store that was open 24-7. There is plenty of room to spread out and have a relaxing time! Questions were answered promptly and needs were addressed within minutes. A great place to stay.

Perfect location at Folley

Location, location, location!! Super easy access to the beach and excellent ocean views from the Penthouse — it’s practically beachfront. With 4 young kids it was very convenient to have Bert’s convenience store across the road. Additionally all the shops and restaurants were a very short walk away, we never had to drive our car during the stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed, we would definitely stay here again!

Holidays at the Beach

Each year the week after Christmas we always spend with our family on Folly Beach. This has been our tradition for over 15 years. The Penthouswas e was one of our best . The location was wonderful. The kitchen layout was great and the kitchen was well stocked. What kept it from getting a 5 star? The rail coming up the "flight" of stairs out side was a bit shaky, the towel rack in front bathroom was pulled out of wall, the water pressure in single bath by kitchen was minimal. also the great room sofas were a bit soiled. Did these issues hamper our family gathering? No we had a wonderful time....but in my mind 5 stars mean perfection..

Holiday Family Gathering

Our fourth time staying in The Penthouse at Folly for our holiday family gathering. The layout is perfect for us - four bedrooms for the four siblings/spouses plus the upstairs loft rooms for the three kids (now young adults). The open format includes a well-stocked kitchen, large dining table and seating/TV area so everyone can spread out and do their thing. Plus the ocean view is a constant reminder that you are at the beach! Great location too - quick walk to the Folly restaurants and to Bert's for last-minute supplies. Steven and his team at iTrip are great communicators and true professionals. One of our guests forgot their hanging clothes in the closet when we checked out. They immediately made arrangements to ship the items to North Carolina. We are already making plans for our next holiday gathering at The Penthouse!

Superstar listing

Rented the Penthouse with a group of friends for a weekend getaway. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect location and setup. The home had great space and lots of bathrooms. Host was very well organized and communicative, providing clear instructions throughout the whole process. Nothing better than coffee on a porch swing in the mornings!! Best Location Ever!!!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Penthouse! The location truly couldn’t have been better. Steps away from Bert’s and all the restaurants and bars. The house was beautiful and well stocked with everything you need. The rooms were spacious and well decorated! There was ample beach gear available for use along with showers underneath the building for washing off after the beach. The right side of the house was much warmer in temperature the entire stay — we think it was due to the sun hitting that side of the house and there’s obviously not much you can do about that. We tried to keep the curtains closed to help. The balcony was huge and had a great view of the ocean. Unfortunately the beach access across the street was closed due to dredging near the pier, but the next access was a short walk down the street. We are already looking into booking our next stay at The Penthouse! :)

This property is spacious, clean, newer and right across from the beach. We loved the yoga playroom and short walk to Burt’s Market. We visit Folly often, and this was one of the best stays we’ve had!

needs some updates little worn

Hi! Our stay was good but there are some items that could be update. The area rug in the main living room is all rolled and could be a big tripping hazard. The box outlets in the kitchen and bathroom off the kitchen are coming out of the wall when you unplug a item. The out door cushions are very dirty and stained. We felt the unit was cleaned. It was myself and 5 other ladies that stay in the unit. The location is wonderful.

Perfect location! Great for family! Walking distance to everything!

Imagine swinging on the front porch enjoying time with family and seeing the beach within walking distance. This house has everything including chairs for the beach. Fast Wi-Fi. Comfortable beds. Much more room than we anticipated. We had two babies under two and adult kids with us. There was something for everyone and everything (shops, restaurants, grocery store, beach) was within walking distance. Highly recommend.
