My stay at Chateau Mar was great! My room was clean, the facility itself was clean. The food at the tiki bar was amazing! The retro decor was cool. There’s a vintage record player in the room with a collection of records. Very cool hotel.

Staff was not overly friendly, everything is rundown, there is very little to eat at the hotel, and nothing in the surrounding area. Our TV in our room didn’t even work.

The hotel charges 14.99 a night resort fee for amenities you can not use. The pool was full of debris. The retro theme on the property is great. This hotel is noisy. The tiki bar on the main floor blasts music you can hear late into the night, even on the 6th floor. Our deadbolt would not work on the door because it wasn't lined up. I am pretty sure people are living here full time. Walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbors clearly. The front desk people are indifferent and unwelcoming.

Upon arrival there were no towels in the bathroom, after about 15 minutes, 2 bath towels were brought up for 2 guests! We were to stay for 3 nights but left after 2 nights! Breakfast option was very poor, what was available was quite expensive!

Disappointing

This hotel is a complete catfish. The photos of the property are nothing like what it looks like in person. The room was clean yes, but the area was not safe feeling or looking, beat down cars in the parking lot, loud music people smoking certain things, the pool area was run down and not classy, the hallways are not classy, I was expecting more from the photos and I travel for work a lot. I was disappointed so I checked out 10 minutes later, as a single woman I would def not stay here.

Property was easy to get to, outside is well kept, lobby area and pool area are well kept. Parking area is way too dark. Room was cute and had the basics. Could see the pool and the Hard Rock Hotel from the balcony.
