TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE if I could give no stars I would. Do not book this hotel. It’s the ugliest hotel. CATFISH HOTEL Looks nothing like the photos. Looks like a motel. Paid $220 for one night and they gave me an upstairs room and I had a baby and a stroller , the bathrooms look like high school bathroom stalls , the lighting is so dark, it’s scary looking, just nothing like the photos. The photos they show are photoshopped . I asked for a different room and they gave me another one which wasn’t any better but at least I was on the bottom floor. And I left for 5-6 hours and came back to my room OPEN and unlocked. I went and let them know and they didn’t care !! I also asked if I could leave because I didn’t feel safe and asked for a refund and they didn’t give it to me. Please don’t book here . You WILL hate it and regret it The man and woman at the reception desk have the worst attitudes and they do not care about their guests . They showed no interest in what I had to say.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent experience with this hotel warrants one. I made an honest mistake when booking and selected the wrong date. Within 20 minutes—well within any reasonable grace period—I contacted both the hotel and Expedia in an attempt to correct it. The hotel informed me that all changes had to go through Expedia, and Expedia assured me they would request a refund from the property. Following their instructions, I immediately rebooked the correct date and provided proof of the new reservation, expecting a straightforward resolution. Instead, the hotel refused the refund and Expedia dismissed it also, leaving me paying double for a single stay—one reservation unused due to an obvious error, and one that I actually needed. What should have been a simple correction turned into an unnecessary financial loss and a frustrating cycle of blame-shifting between the property and the booking platform. A hotel that values its guests would recognize a clear, good-faith mistake and work collaboratively with partners like Expedia to resolve it and vice versa. Unfortunately, that was not the case here. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled, and I feel other travelers should be aware of the lack of flexibility and customer care.

Hiram, the night clerk, was an awesome greeter! The location is fantastic. The room itself was perfect for our needs. The parking situation was a little less than desirable. The Boardwalk was very fun!

Their booking office relayed us to a credit card scam when attempting to cancel booking prior to stay. Television not operating. Customer wifi didn't connect. Had to get staff password to do work on my laptop. Toilet didn't flush. Good shower pressure but surround leaked and flooded bathroom. Thin walls. "Bonus" free beverage and discount at attached restaurant was not appetizing. A few pleasant staff (and a few not so much) but overall dysfunctional operation.

The location by the beach was excellent but this is a pretty old and well worn hotel. The bed was barely acceptable. The cable TV was literally impossible to use because the box was pinned to the TV mount behind the TV. To change channel you literally had to stand up and aim the remote to the side of the TV. Can you imagine?! Front desk, blamed maintenance, saying they were not very smart lol. Coffee in the morning was the worst I've ever had. Thin as tea. Powdered milk. Cheap. All in all, it was convenient for a few nights before our cruise and for about $125 a night x two it was fair for the great location. Hollywood Beach was a blast, beautiful swimming, and they had great concerts down by the Margaritaville hotel on the boardwalk.

The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful. The room was clean, cute and comfortable. I loved the location. Literally a 1/2 block to the beach, with some bars, restaurants. The Taco Beach Shack out front had good food, friendly service and a pretty good Margarita, too. I will likely come back for a few days. I only had 1 night before getting on a cruise this time.
