The home itself is lovely — but be prepared to feel like you’re on a reality show you didn’t sign up for. There’s no self check-in, and from the moment you arrive, you’re monitored via cameras and surveillance software. The property manager texts you at random with updates about your activity, as well as “staff in the neighborhood” who is keeping an eye on you, which feels more creepy than helpful. We were promised a 2 PM check-in, only to have it pushed back with less than 24 hours’ notice — after flights were already booked. The kicker? The trash bin was already packed full with debris when we arrived, and I was asked to empty it, refill it with our trash, and drag it to the street. Thankfully, they stopped short of handing me a lawn mower. If you value privacy, flexibility, or basic guest courtesy, this place might not be for you.
