There were multiple deficiencies with this property.The internet password we were provided was frequently rejected and when there was service, it was often limited to the main living area.There was no "renter's guide" to the property to provide information on: how to use the appliances, electronic equipment, thermostats, etc.; how to operate the hot tub, outdoor lighting. etc.The frame of the Murphy bed in the guesthouse was damaged which made it very difficult to open and close and caused the bed to tilt noticeably making it too uncomfortable for sleeping. The futon in the guest house lacked basic bedding such as sheets and pillows.The kitchen was a major frustration. The dishwasher cycle ended before the dishes were dry (and there were no dishcloths). The ice maker in the refrigerator didn't function. The kitchen was poorly supplied in many respects. The dishware and silverware was limited (e.g., only 6 coffee cups for a property that was advertised to accommodate 10 to 12 people). Basic kitchen staples such as plastic wrap, tinfoil, paper napkins, Ziploc bags, etc. were not provided. The quality and quantity of pots and pans, and other kitchen supplies were lacking. (We had to use a Wok to cook pasta because there wasn't a pot of adequate size.) The knives were all extremely dull, and other basic kitchen supplies & equipment were lacking. Finally, there was a noticeably moldy smell in both the guesthouse and in the laundry room.

This house is truly an oasis. It was hard to believe we were so close to the bustling streets of Fort Lauderdale bc when you’re sitting in the backyard it feels a million miles away. Completely private, peaceful and serene. Only shared with the entertaining wildlife (ducks and iguanas) and the occasional kayakers passing by. The house was clean, newly updated and stocked with pretty much everything we needed. We could control the pool and spa temp via an app on our phone which was convenient. The beach was just a short walk down the street (can see the ocean from the master bedroom) and we enjoyed having a less crowded beach front than what you experience in the high rise sections. Just a note to pay attention to the property description as the 4th bedroom is a separate guesthouse by the pool. Completely fine for our group of adults and teenagers but if you’re traveling with younger kids you don’t want to miss that detail. We thoroughly enjoyed this property and would definitely stay here again!

Extremely pleasant stay!

The location of the property is unmatched, you’re literally situated in the state park per se with the property having a view on the ‘lake’ (super beautiful), alongside a roughly 2 min walk to the beach. Property was clean and well-equipped, and we’d definutely stay again given the chance — Thank you.

Beautiful house rental by the beach

Overall we had a great time on the trip but for the amount of money I paid, I shouldn’t have had to buy items such as toilet paper and paper towels. Additionally there were only two beach chairs available luckily I brought my own but they should also be included with the rental. With that said it was still a great location and easy walk to the beach and we had a great time.

Fabulous Getaway

The home is beautiful and the outdoor space is unmatched! It was absolutely lovely to be right on Birch State Park. So much to see and do right in the backyard. The pool and hot tub provided hours of entertainment for our kids. The beach is a short walk away. The pool house provides a lovely private space for guests who may not want to be in the main house.

Gorgeous house

This house was perfect for our girls weekend. We especially enjoyed the patio area surrounded by nature and the location was great for our daily beach walks. We just wish the pool was cleaned better and the jacuzzi was hotter- we weren’t be able to control it. The fire pits didn’t not work either which was a bummer. But overall gorgeous property!

Beautiful house with a lot of wildlife!

The waterway behind the house with the beach is beautiful and you will be VERY close to birds, ducks, iguanas and more! The cottage was disappointing. Not enough hot water for a shower, light bulbs out, very uncomfortable bed but a great private location. The microwave was popular as the main house has two convection type ovens and not user friendly. The spa as mentioned in the listing is not heated and the fire pits were repaired while we were there and we were told the owners do not want them used. For the price of this home, I would expect everything to be perfect. However, good space for all 8 of us and we had a wonderful vacation. Wear your insect repellent!!

Beautiful Home!

This is a beautiful home equipped with everything you need for vacation. The location is fantastic. The backyard is very private and the pool and hot tub are great. The master bedroom has a view of the ocean and you are just a short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.
