We had the pleasure of being Doug's first renters. We stayed for 11 days, Jan 23-Feb. 3. The house was VERY clean and well stocked with paper products, towels, beach towels, and all the kitchen gadgets one needs. Two king beds were a bonus and very comfortable. We took advantage of the fishing poles and caught quite a few Sheepshead fish in the canal off the dock. We also used the blackstone grill a couple of times, which worked great for big breakfasts! As we were there during record cold weather, we did not use the pool much, but it was one of the cleanest we have seen. There was a bit of construction in the area, which was to be expected, but did not bother us at all. There are two bar/restaurants, coffee shop and a 7-Eleven within walking distance to the south on Estero Boulevard. There is also a Publix grocery store 1.8 miles to the north. Directly behind the Publix is a fun marina, restaurant, boat rental and live bait for sale. We had a wonderful time and Doug was a great host and very quick to answer all our questions. Would definitely rent this house again.
