The neighborhood is lovely theres indiana traffic and its close to all the family we were visiting. Cooking is a little rough as there are few outlets and it feels a bit like a fire hazard with few pit sized but the extra games where enjoyable.
I was just there for two nights. I went for a run one night using the trail at the end of the street and took it all the way downtown. The property is very clean, the neighborhood is very quiet. . Loved it!
The property was clean, attractive, and beds were comfortable. I had read reviews that said the only sink was the bathroom sink, which is true. It was challenging to was dishes at a pedestal sink. The cooler kept food cold, but there was no ice. The microwave worked. The only chair to watch TV was metal. A comfortable chair would be a nice addition.
It was not disclosed to me when booking that a roommate normally stays in the basement. I was told by neighbors that the roommate was out of town when we were supposed to stay. We did not end up staying there due to this information because I did not trust the location being safe at that point.
Nice little place in a great location. Owner is very responsive and helpful.
If you read other reviews that give this place less stars, let me assure you, the owner takes every comment seriously. Someone commented about the smell, well there were top notch air purifiers in the rooms. Someone commented about TP, there was a full pack of TP in the bathroom.
This is someone who takes pride in their property. Itâs an adorable place.
This was a nice little stay. Cute and comfy. It was just me and my teen and I felt 100% safe in the area. Towels were soft and when I asked if we could check in early because the stuff we came to do was either closed or faster than expected, the host graciously allowed us to. Very good experience!
As long as you don't need a kitchen or a sizeable refrigerator, you will be very comfortable here. It's simple but clean with lots of plants. I did like the air filter/cleaner machines in the bedrooms which have a white noise effect. It is not a place I'd want to spend a lot of time hanging out at, but as a home base while out and about or visiting folks, it is ideal.
Check in information was provided late and only after I asked for it. It was at this point we were notified that we could not park in the driveway. This is due to the home being sectioned off and another person living on the otherwise. Upon arrival the yard was unkempt and needed a mow but this is fine as we didnât use it. The entrance is not accessible so if you have any sort of mobility concerns this would not work for you. The actual living space smells of mildew and the air does not circulate well. The entire time we were there we had the air conditioning on set to 66 and it was still not comfortable. Back to it being a shared home. We could hear the other people and Iâm sure they could hear us. The cat was sitting at the connecting door meowing a few times. Which again is fine. I just wasnât aware that it was a shared living arrangement. The kitchenette is not a kitchenette the only sink in the home is the bathroom which is too small to wash a dish. The mini fridge freezer was extremely over frozen and not usable. The second bedroom has no door just a curtain. My travel partner and I took a shower and the towels had a horrible smell to them. So much that I decided not to shower the following day. We checked out a day early. I contacted the host who apologized for the âsmelly towelsâ. There was one 1/2 roll of toilet paper. No tissues or paper towels. The house mate brought us toilet paper but not before we used tissues from our car. Overall a not good trip.
I feel like this might be a new listing and the owners are inexperienced. It's a nice location and has a lot to offer. With a few changes, it will be an excellent place to stay. However, there is no kitchen sink area and no hot tub.
