The windows were painted closed in the room and did not open. The condensation from the windows was dripping onto the floor and table. We checked with reception and they advised there was nothing they could do about the windows. The staff were nice and the breakfast was decent enough and the hotel location was also very good and has parking. All in all it was fine for a couple of days max.

Room and toilet were spotless staff were great and the room was warm which was great considering it snowed when we were there. Also they had our cot set up for us arriving with our baby. I would 100% stay here again

The room had no hot water for a shower in the morning, I reported this to desk clerk @6:45 and he didn't seem to care. I skipped breakfast and just left at that point, as I didn't have any faith in the service to follow. The room was noisy with a continual water pipe noise from walls, and the alarm light flashed bright enough to light the room once your eyes adjusted. The pint I ordered was off (replaced - thank you), the room I ate in was cold. The hotel is not somewhere I could recommend

Exterior not as pictured. Room a dump. Holes in walls. Wallpaper peeling on both sides of every sheet. Carpet filthy. Freezing cold with no thermostat. Windows allowed freezing air from outside into room. Bedding cover a thin sheet; froze all night. Pillows horrible. Staff claimed our room was an upgrade. Would hate to see the regular room. Would never stay there again. Unfortunately I trusted Expedia recommendation. Lesson learned.

Very old but fairly clean. Front desk clerks were Fabulous and so kind. Restaurant staff were kind except a young blonde lady who was extremely rude and very hard to understand when she talked. The food was nice at the restaurant with reasonable prices. Bed s were old and hard but the rooms had a bathtub. Parking was difficult. I would stay there again.

The room smelled terrible. It got progressively worse, but I wasn't up for moving rooms even if that was an option. As I was trying to sleep the windows were rattling loudly with the wind.

First time at the Alexandra hotel but won’t be our last, very nice receptionist who gave us a lovely spacious loch view room, thank you Elaine , excellent onsite Bistro which we tried, good food and value, location could not be better being right in the middle of town, breakfast was the best we had on our 4 night in different hotels Highland trip, great choice and quality, had a pleasant comfortable stay on our last night before heading south. Definitely recommend 😁

The front desk lady very rude and liar. The room number 405 is full of bed bugs. (I am going to upload pics on trip advisor) The house keep staff is very good and helpful. They immediately made sure that we get refunded. But over all the room was extremely dirty, dusty, rotten smell, curtain all black with dust and spider webs. Windows were loaded with pile of dust.
