Overall, the place was clean, and we appreciated the fenced back yard for our dog and we appreciate that they allowed a dog. While the place was clean, it does show its age. Also - there are stairs up to the front door, and they were slightly slanted so be careful. I almost fell a couple of times while carrying things. It's fairly convenient to grocery and restaurants and the neighborhod is quiet.
Communication with the owner was 1st class. He got back to me with answers to questions before our stay very quickly and was really helpful. When we had a problem with the TV not working during our stay, he arranged to get someone out to fix it. This is the only good news. The house is in serious need of modernising and needs a thorough deep clean. We had to vacuum the settees on arrival as dog hair was all over them and the table was "sticky". The kitchen applicances need updating. Whilst the bedroom and bathroom were clean (fortunately) the place was and felt dirty, to the point that we wanted to spend as little time as possible in the house. If you read other reviews, lack of cleanliness is a common theme. The area is OK (Dixies is just down the road), and it is 15 min drive to the Stockyards area. This house was the most expensive place we stayed on our trip and the most disappointing. It feels like everything is done on the cheap, almost like student accommodation. Needless to say we would not recommend this as a place to stay.
This is a neat little property in the Fort Worth area and is walking distance from many museums and the botanical gardens. There is lot's of stuff to do in the area. The host was great and easy to work with.
We enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is quiet and well kept. Location is ideal if you are flying in for a concert at Dickies Arena as it is 2-3 blocks from the venue. The only thing we noticed was the shower handles needs a little TLC. Other than that I would definitely recommend staying here. Oh and the Stockyards are only a 15 minute drive!
The house is so beautiful with all forniture that you need for your stay! Chris is super responsive! We will definitely back again if we are in forth worth!
It is a well located pet friendly place which is hard to find. The listing needs to improve the cleanliness and provide enough toiletries and kitchen supplies. There was only one toilet paper roll for a family for 8 days. Most surfaces were dirty. There are no smoke detectors. The owner was fast at responding for check-in and check-out.
Walking distance to Dickies was accurate for an average person. Decent fenced yard; certainly nothing fancy. LOTS of pet stains on bedroom carpet (& pretty sure all rugs, too, as all rooms smelled like pee). Gross refrigerator door handles (tried to clean with paper towels & dish soap). Dish soap was also used as hand soap in the dispensers. Not much else for amenities. Not much else to use for cleaning either. There was dog poop all over the dust pan in the kitchen closet. The whole place just had a greasy ammonia (ie, pee) smell that made a 3-night stay almost unbearable. The living room TV had problems. The host responded quickly when I asked if there was a trick to it. Unfortunately, the response was that it was fiddly, he was out of town and was so, so, so sorry. We could live without one TV as we tried staying away as much as we could. I felt dirty the entire time we were there. Planned to cook, but didn't dare use the greasy kitchen or the nasty sponge lying on the dirty sink. I just hope the bathroom and the bedding we had to sleep on was cleaner. I almost made a trip for cleaning supplies, but my husband insisted they wouldn't NOT clean; they're making money & want to continue doing so. I'm not convinced there was any cleaning done prior to our stay. We bought incense and candles to endure the smell, but until the floors are replaced, this one is a 100% NO for a next-time stay! This one needs a LOT of long-term maintenance. And especially more effort to CLEAN!
We had a good stay at this rental! The location is fantastic, close to everything Ft. Worth has to offer, making it incredibly convenient. The house is small and simple, but it was the perfect size for my husband and me. It was clean, well-maintained, and the neighborhood felt safe, which added to our peace of mind. If you're looking for a cozy, no-frills option in a great area, this is a good choice.
The location of this duplex is excellent for visiting shops on Camp Bowie, Fort Worth Museums and Dickies Arena. Easy walk.
The home is older so donât expect a new build but it is spacious, clean and comfortable with a fenced yard if traveling with pets
I would recommend for its location. .
Great location close to Will Rogers Memorial Center and Dickies Arena. The home is in a quiet neighborhood and felt very safe. The home is older so may not be in "pristine" condition, but it has new fixtures and appliances. It is well laid out and the heat and air work well. Host is great with communication and gave us great restaurant suggestions. Overall, a wonderful stay. Thanks Chris!
Planned a trip to see an exhibit at the Kimbell. This was the best place to stay for the cultural district. Cozy with all the amenities. Short drive to the museums and the Stockyards. Great communication with host when problems arose.Definitely will be our go to place on our next visit to Fort Worth.
We travelled to Fort Worth to visit family. The location is central to everything. Owner was very responsive. The house was clean and bed was very comfortable. Our dog travelled with us and the backyard was perfect. Neighborhood is very quiet.
