Perfect Place

This place was so charming! I loved every bit of it! My husband and I especially enjoyed our balcony view of Hondo’s live bands on Friday and Saturday night. We had our own private viewing and listening. We have found our new favorite place to stay in Fredericksburg.

Balcony Suite

Made reservation for Balcony Suite but was put in the Front Porch suite no explanation why In prior correspondence. Finally got in the room that ended up with no heat and it got down to 28 first two nights, no coffee in room, shower was moldy and shower curtain stuck together with mold. Got in touch with Dixie and she moved us to the room we were supposed to have been in to begin with heat and a clean bathroom.

Delightful, rustic place.

Beautiful place with a nice overlook is Haupstraße. The decor is great and feels appropriate to the age of the building. Will definitely stay again.

Very unhappy

The online description completely in accurate staying at this property was not very enjoyable. The front door to the property was recently vandalized and using the proper key for entry was quite difficult very little help was offered so my wife and I were on our own the maid service look like the rush job, meaning windows have been cleaned in quite some time the hot water heater to 25 minutes to get for the water to get hot the light in the bathroom is so dim the door had to be open

Should have paid attention to the reviews.

The good: Live music at Hondo’s next door. The bad: There is no reserved parking so you have to haul your luggage through a wine tasting courtyard if you can find a close spot to park. Most of the time we parked down the street and moved the car after the winery closed. The bed sank in the middle and was not comfortable. The lighting was non-existent unless you opened the windows. The bathtub never drained so the second person to shower got to stand in dirty water. By not draining, I mean hours, not minutes. They were kind enough to drop off some draino, but this tub needs a plumber. I understand that it’s an older building but so are 1/2 the rentals in town and I’ve never had an issue. This was not a satisfying experience but we made the best of it. Will never stay here again. Read the other reviews, as I should have. This place need a little more than TLC.

The location was great! The unique architecture was stunning. Only issues was the bathroom and door. Not enough lighting and bath would not drain. The door lock entry was hard to open every time. Otherwise I loved our stay. If you can’t walk up stairs I would not recommend the top balcony. Overall very cute and charming.

Location, property, very nice
Bed not so nice!

Location, property manager and the INN very awesome. How ever I ignored the bad reviews about the bed and I paid for it! Several reviews said mattress was bad but figured just people complaining to complain. I was wrong. The place is amazing and hated to have to leave it but if you can not sleep at night it’s not worth it. Thankfully the property manager was great to work with. She found us another property to stay on just a block away so we could stay and finish our trip. Had she not done this we probably would have to leave. New location was “ok”. Wasn’t the INN I booked but a good bed was worth more than the view. Would not rent unless you can have someone assure you the mattress has been changed. Property managers are very accommodating and very easy to deal with.

The room is bigger than we expected and it looks exactly like the pictures. The bed was not uncomfortable as I read in other reviews. Property management was excellent and helpful. We loved our stay!

The property was in an excellent location. Christmas lights at the park were beautiful. Walking to everything from shopping, food, entertainment, etc. Rental had a very reasonable price. Would definitely rent again.

Property was clean I assume,but the lack of adequate lighting prohibited from seeing well. Bathroom lighting was exceptionally poor. The bed was the worst we have ever encountered. One literally rolled to the center. The ceiling fan did not work. Extremely uncomfortable seating on the balcony We would never consider staying here again. it

While the initial impression is impressive (large spacious room, microwave, coffee pot, small fridge) there were 3 MAJOR issues with this property. 1. The bathtub does NOT work. Was looking forward to relaxing in this beautiful tub with a glass of wine, but NO!!! 2. The bed is incredibly uncomfortable (caves in). Did not rest all three nights. BAD!! 3. Wasp nest on window about 5 inches in diameter. Not what I wanted to see. I sent a message to the property management and never heard back. The worst part about all of this is that all three of these things were mentioned in a google review made by someone 1 month ago and they have not bothered to fix any of it. Not getting sleep makes for an unpleasant, unrelaxing vacation!!!! Will not recommend nor stay again.

Perfect little apartment

Very cute and cozy apartment. Good view of the city from the balcony. Nice location. The owners did a good job recreating the old world feel in keeping with the vibe of the city. It could use a little brighter lighting, especially in the bathroom. Overall, great experience.
