This house was absolutely perfect for 7 ladies celebrating a milestone birthday. The house was immaculate. The layout & size couldn’t have been better. The jacuzzi was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed it. And the outdoor firepit made for such a nice evening. The host was the best. They responded to our questions immediately. And the location is great!!!! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else now. We will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, we did not get to stay in the house. It was the weekend of a terrible snow storm and all of the roads were to be iced over. We would have been stuck in the house without the ability to leave and the property managers provided no assurance that the house had a generator or any preparations for the extreme weather. I reached out to ask if they would be willing to allow us to reschedule to a later date but they said no. To give some context, it was unsafe conditions to drive. All of our wineries cancelled our tastings and every activity we booked was also cancelled due to weather. The governor declared a winter weather emergency and urged people not to drive. To the defense of the managers, we did not purchase the insurance and the contract did not have any allowances for weather issues. With that said, it was clearly a safety issue for us to be in the middle of the hill country, unable to leave and iced in. The property managers were robotic without any human decency, continually pointing to the verbiage of the contract. While I completely understand the need to set a precedent with renters, there is such a thing as common sense and compassion. For the record, our rental was supposed to be Friday-Sunday. The roads were closed until the following Wednesday, so we would have been stuck. I’m sure the property is lovely and the amenities are fantastic, but customer service and human empathy is non-existent. Profit over safety is clearly the focus.

This review is primarily based on learning there is an ENORMOUS and very visible cemetery behind this home. If that proximity is of no concern, disregard this review.We were told the cemetery was visible from "certain angles" and should not affect our stay. Upon arrival, it was obvious the photos do not reflect what you actually see. Shots in the living room, master bed and bathroom are angled, and the pool area images don’t clearly show it. But BELIEVE ME, the cemetery is in plain sight from EVERY back window / door and the entire pool area. NOTE: the fencing is wrought iron with zero privacy.Deciding to make a go of it, we closed all binds. After a miserable first night, however, we decided to leave. The host did ask if they could make things right (we had other minor issues to which they were responsive), but there was no way to “fix” the problem. We hoped the host would agree to some compensatory offer though under no obligation to do so. After MANY attempts to get a response, an insulting offer was made and rejected. On the plus side, we did enjoy the fire pit (view blocked by the outer building). The home was updated albeit with some oddities: no clothes hangers (BYO), fireplaces that don’t work, doors and locks missing from numerous rooms and a rather strange layout.All this said, we saw that 54 former guests raved about their experience there. So take this with a grain of salt and decide if this is the right place for you.

The Place to Stay in Fredericksburg

The house was everything we expected. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and the pool and spa were awesome. We were very happy with our stay. We did run out of propane for the grill but our host quickly had it replaced by the next day. Would definitely stay at again.

Amazing Girls Trip Getaway — Perfect Location and Great Host!

We had the best girls trip staying at this property! The location was absolutely perfect — just five minutes from town and super easy to Uber anywhere we wanted. The house was incredibly clean, beautifully decorated, and had such a fun, aesthetic vibe. The hot tub was a huge highlight — it worked perfectly and the host even provided YouTube videos to make operating it super easy. Communication with the host was fantastic from start to finish. Overall, an amazing stay — we would definitely come back!

Friends getaway

The property was great and very clean, nice neighborhood. Manager was easy to contact. Check in was very simple. The house was well stocked with anything you needed. Only down fall was that the hot water didn’t work in the master bedroom shower. But the manger did try to help. We just couldn’t figure it out. Other than that it was perfect! Would recommend.

Superb home for our Christmas holiday stay!

Beautiful, newly remodeled home in the heart of Fredericksburg. Spotless!Every amenity you could need is supplied for you.Large and comfortable rooms throughout the home.The hot tub in late December was such a huge plus.Bonus was the appearance of two lit Christmas trees that gave such a warmth to the home throughout the holiday.Would definitely recommend this home for a luxury stay!

Great house for a Girls trip….plenty of room for everyone! The house is beautiful in the pictures but even more beautiful in person! Hot tub and pool are fantastic! Great location…just off the Main Street and very nice neighborhood….we all enjoyed our morning walks! Would definitely stay there again!!! Great house with lots of room for everyone!

We had 9 adults who stayed from October 15 - 19. Lots of room for everyone and sauna and fire pit were great to use. We weren't able to use the pool as it was to cold during our stay but it wasn't an issue. Would highly recommend staying at this site. If I had a question, just sent a quick text or phone call and they were right on it.

Girls Trip

The house was beautiful, much bigger than it looks in photos. The location was perfect. The beds were super comfy and the owners had supplied all the necessities. We had trouble with getting the hot tub to heat up, but the owners quickly responded to our message and turned the heated on remotely. The only complaint was the amount of flies around the pool. They were everywhere, but as long as we kept our drinks covered at all times and did not bring any food out it was fine. Overall, this was the perfect rental!

Terrific place in Fredericksburg, Texas

We were very pleased with this property in Fredericksburg, Texas. The residence was beautiful, with tall oak trees and a lovely pool plus plenty of parking that did not detract from the yard. The house was spacious, stylishly decorated, well maintained, and clean. There were nice, large common areas for everyone to be together, scattered sitting areas for groups, and the bedrooms were separated enough to allow privacy when desired. The kitchen had everything necessary for preparing meals, with plenty of utensils, glassware (including plastic for outdoor use), plates, nice appliances, and pots and pans. A large dining table as well as a smaller breakfast nook were adjacent allowing plenty of space for meals together, plus the extensive pantry area provided ample storage for food and beverages. We had no difficulties with the television, wireless internet, doing laundry, and finding electrical outlets for charging all our cell phones and such. Despite the house’s large size and extent, the heating and air conditioning system and many ceiling fans did a great job keeping us comfortable day and night. The outdoor patio and seating areas were terrific. We spent much of our time outside, enjoying the shade of the trees and the songs of lots of different birds. The pool was beautiful and had ample seating around it. We were a few blocks from downtown and major roadways to other local sites so access was easy though the immediate neighborhood was pleasantly quiet. The owner

Christmas time trip to Fredericksburg

Our family had a lovely time in Fredericksburg. This house is cozy and spacious. Living room and dining have plenty of space. Beds are very comfortable and linens are very nice. Master bathroom is oversized and we enjoyed deep soaking tub and large shower. We visited over Christmas so didn’t get to enjoy pool but we did enjoy the hot tub. House was very clean and has all the amenities for a wonderful stay. House is very close to all the shopping on Main Street. Highly recommend this property!

Over-the-top Vacation Rental

It’s always great to visit Fredericksburg, but extra special when you have an opportunity to complement your stay with a fantastic vacation rental. The St Helene Haus exceeded our expectations and was the “icing on the cake” for our recent visit to Fredericksburg. Let me me first say that the size and quality of the property are deceiving from the outside. When you first pull up, you have an immediate impression that’s far different than when you first enter the home. Albeit the property is extremely nice on the exterior, the “big fat wow” happens when you enter the front door. The adjectives that come to mind are pristine, extra large, comfortable, and exclusive. We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the property being much larger than what the pictures indicate and what we expected. We had four guests and more than enough room for all of us. The living area was comfortable with ample seating and a nice TV. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and perfect for our culinary exploration. The bedrooms were very comfortable and corresponding baths clean and new. For us, the highlight was the pool and hot tub. Although it was a little chilly for the pool, we took advantage of the hot in every night. The hot tub could easily seat 6 or 8 people, but was super-sized for the four of us. Given the chilly nights, it punctuated a perfect hill country evening. So, we enthusiastically recommend the St Helene Haus for anyone looking for a wonderful hill country stay!
