We stayed in Fredericksburg at The Sunday House from Tuesday April 15th through Friday April 18th. This is a very comfortable hotel and the staff is very gracious. Fredericksburg is just a lovely town. We had a great experience with our private wine tour through a local business that offers these wonderful tours.
My only issue was breakfast. They supposed to serve breakfast until 10, we got there at 9:20 there was nothing left. 3 more people came after us and only 4 kolashes was put up, the lady just came saying 'I'm sorry'. When staying in a hotel that breakfast is included, we pay for it. So i expected breakfast. If not I could stay in another hotel cheaper with no breakfast and go to eat somewhere else
The property was okay: not spectacular, but not terrible. The location was fairly convenient, right on Main Street in Fredericksburg, within easy walking distance to the many shops, restaurants, etc.
The room was clean (although a little "heavy" on the room deodorizer smell), and fairly quiet as well; not too much road noise.
A decent place for the price, as compared to others in the area.
We would stay there again.
The motel is older and dated, but overall our room was clean. The mattress was extremely soft and likely had been on the bed for quite some time as sunk towards the middle of the bed. The breakfast was good and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The location is great for walking to all the establishments on Main Street.
