After the Flood

We made our reservation before one of the most deadly flooding event in Texas history. The town was devastated. We only had 1 night reserved and after the flood, we contacted the Hotel to see if they would need us to cancel our reservation to allow for access by Emergency responders. They said it was ok so we kept it. The town was loaded with strangers but everyone we encountered were gracious and helpful, I was grateful to have been able to experience the small amount of the crisis that they were going through. May God Bless each and every one of them and hopefully my next visit there will be under more relaxed circumstances.

This hotel has possibilities.....nice location, great pool area. However , the room we were in needs serious upgrades. The carpet was dingy and very damp. It was gross quite frankly. I wish they would not allow smoking on the property, as there were cigarette butts on the ground outside many room areas, including my own room, where several people are gathered outside smoking at 7:30 in the morning!
