We needed a private place to stay over the 4th where our older dog could avoid fireworks. This was perfect and had all our basic needs. Shirley was very responsive and honest with the listing. It is quiet but not far from other attractions. She also provided some local places to dine or go on an adventure.
My son was at S bar F scout camp and instead of driving back to St. Louis we stayed at this gem. Quiet and cozy. Our dogs loved it too. Close to St. Francis River/Silver Mines Rec area.
The place was fully stocked with spices and firewood. Location was great for hiking and the pasture behind the house was scenic. Definitely recommended this place to amy group 2-4 people.
This little cabin is very solid and well built. The host seemed to have thought of everything you could possibly need for a stay. On my drive there I realized I forgot steak seasoning. I look in the kitchen and BAM, there's some Montreal. There was also plenty of great split firewood.
This tiny cabin is exactly as described, in a quiet setting. Shirley is an excellent and gracious host, communication was prompt, and she did everything to have the place ready for a great stay. I see why there are so many positive reviews
The host was great at communicated both prior and with notes all over to explain things about the house. I think expectations are met. I thought the house was perfect. My husband thought the bathroom was small, but I thought the water pressure in the shower made up for everything. I'm an optimist. Very cute house. We spent most of our time hiking in the area. The host was also nice enough to provide info on trails nearby. Our dogs loved the yard. The front porch was nice to sit on and the morning sounds of cows was lovely. Oh and I have to say the easy check in and check out procedures is such a joy these days.
We have stayed here before and it's always a great stay. Shirley the host is accessible and helpful, charming. The cabin is clean and comfortable. Loved the fenced yard with grill, fire pit and games. Great location. Looking forward to our next stay!
Complementary charcoal and firewood. Plenty of cooking utensils and spices and condiments.
Surprisingly good WiFi access. Itâs a cozy tiny house in pretty country. Great stargazing when itâs clear.
My dog and I enjoyed our stay. Shirleyâs description is spot on and the cabin is tiny but adorable. The steps upstairs are very steep. The fenced in yard was a big point for me so my dog could roam around safely. This was a great spot for a weekend away!
This is a perfect little tiny house!! We had a comfortable stay!!! It was clean and quiet! We had a fire in the evenings and it was so relaxing! Thank you so much for sharing your little gem!!!
Amazing cabin that has it all !! Great location , great comminucation with the owner ! Simply amazing and the cabin has everything you need !! Will come back one day again for sure !
This place is perfect! Cleanliness: 10/10 Furnishings: 10/10 (that includes utensils and equipment in the kitchen and linens and toiletries in the bedroom and bathroom, respectively. Someone mentioned there being limited hot water. I'll just say it's the perfect amount if you wash your face in the sink and employ the water off whilst sudsing method. I came to this haven with my 60 lb doggo and she loved the yard so much! Shirley does a pretty good job spraying down the yard with eco-friendly pest/tick spray. A little tip: spraying your furbaby with Wondercide Flea & Tick before they go exploring helps ensure they'll be good to go -over 3 days I think I found maybe 2 to 3 ticks on her.
This cabin is very much micro and no space is wasted. Whether you're up for takeout or want to make your own meals, there is a two range hot plate in microwave (no oven) grill and fire pit for all levels of experienced campers or novice glampers :-) and if you want to write or read a book on the porch, you can do that or stay in the cool downstairs living space while the door is open as the screen keeps the bugs out. I simply can't say too much about this little slice of Heaven. It's not fancy. It's not glamorous. It's perfect. If you're not sure, just a book it for a couple of nights and check it out. There is no shortage of outdoor activities to do in the area and Shirley will give you more ideas than you could possibly exhaust in just one stay. I'm sure you'll come back. I know I will!
My partner and I came here to celebrate his birthday for a few days/nights. The cabin was just what we wanted cozy, clean, cute and had AC!
Not to mention our dogs had the best time being able to relax outside in the fenced in yard.
I have recommended this lil cabin to all my friends!
