Prime oceanfront location! Enjoy sea breezes and spectacular island views when you stay here in this comfortable coastal cottage! With the Gulf Coast waters just steps away from your home away from home (proximity tide dependent), you'll be sure to experience that relaxation and beach getaway time you've been craving!
The Space:
As you step into the home, the open living area will greet you with a wall of windows overlooking the water. With plenty of seating, you can easily watch a movie together, grab your favorite book or select your board game of choice for all to enjoy!
You'll appreciate the fresh, bright and fully equipped kitchen complete with peninsula island, stainless steel full-sized refrigerator, oven/range, and dishwasher for easy cleanup, and plenty table settings and serving utensils to keep everyone fed and happy. With large dining table, there's ample room for all to find a spot and enjoy the tasty meal. Head out on the deck to fire up the BBQ and truly experience grilling with a view!
Post dinner, break out your desired local brew or glass of wine, and take in the beautiful sights and sounds of the surf, and of course, get ready for that photoshoot of the spectacular sunset! (And in the morning, be ready for that sensational sunrise to start your day!)

EASY CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT: It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.
The Neighborhood:
TREASURE ISLAND:
The 979 Crew just loves this seaside and bayside community flanked by Galveston Island on one end and Surfside Beach on the other. On your drive, stop by the grocery store for your favorite grillables and beverages, make a pit stop at the bait shop to fill your bait bucket (great fishing in TI), and/or place a call to make arrangements to rent a golf cart - this is a very golf cart friendly spot. Enjoy the Gulfside's uncrowded pedestrian beach (no cars allowed for 300 yards but golf carts welcomed) where you can setup your group's camp for the day on the beach to build sandcastles, jump in the surf, find unique shells and sand dollars, boogie board, shore & surf fish and build an evening bonfire. Or if preferred, utilize the available launch for your boat or kayak or head to the fishing pier on the bayside. Some much to do so little time!
AREA (IMPORTANT):
While this home looks right out to the stunning San Luis Pass and beautiful Gulf (perfect for bird watching, sunning, beachcombing, fishing & sunrise/sunset viewing), the state of Texas in late 2017 has put a restriction regarding swimming in the Pass because of unpredictable riptides. Therefore, neighborhood swimming, water sport and surf fishing beach is a 5 min walk down the street to the main long stretch of beach entrance.
Getting Around:
SAN LUIS PASS:
San Luis Pass and Treasure Island have been known all over the United States for being a saltwater fishing hotspot and the most amazing sunrises & sunsets! It is 15 minutes from Surfside and across the bridge from Galveston's west end and only about 25-30 minutes to the heart of Galveston Island's activities. Most people come to the area to spend quality 'non-commercialized" time with family, extended family, and friends!

Every home is fully and professionally cleaned after each guest stay. In addition, all of our homes feature luxury hotel-quality/high thread count on all sheets, bedding, and bath towels which are replaced upon every turnover including the duvet covers and shams (we've heard not every company does this, and we think that's just gross). We take clean seriously! When you rent a 979 home, you'll also receive the 'comforts of home' guest welcome starter supply of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, tp and paper towels, dishwasher and clothes washer pods. We want your stay to be as easy as you do, and the 979 Crew aims to deliver on that commitment. We love our island guests!
🐾 PUP-FRIENDLY:
Bring Fido(s)! We welcome your furry friends (aka family members). Up to 2 well-behaved dogs are allowed at this home, subject to approval and a non-refundable pet fee of $100 per dog per stay.
WIFI/TV SERVICE:
Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!
979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.
Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.
