Basic Guesthouse in ideal location

Basic guesthouse right by the fort wall and close to everything in Galle fort. The owners were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was great. It could do with a lick of paint and refurbishment which were make it a much nicer place to stay.

Værten var meget imødekommende og fleksibel. Jeg fortalte, hvad jeg ønskede til morgenmad og det fik jeg. Værten hjalp også med at arrangere en whale watching tur til Marissa. Udsigten fra Rampart View Guesthouse er virkelig god. Stedet er en smule slidt, men udsigten er god og værten meget hjælpsom og imødekommende.

古い住宅の２階部分を改装したゲストハウス。旧市街の城壁に面して建っているので、城壁越しにインド洋がよく見えました。屋上は宿泊客に開放されていて、チェアが並べてあってさらに眺望良好でした。旧市街内の宿は値段が高めですが、ここも場所代込みのお値段なのでやや高いです。それでも部屋は清潔で快適だし、スタッフも親切。旧市街のどこにも歩いて便利に行けるので、１泊だけの滞在としては値段も納得しました。朝ご飯は隣接する食堂で出されます。8時からと言われましたが、行ってみたら準備が整ってなくて３０分待たされました。チェックアウトの朝に午後の列車で発つことをスタッフに話したら、若いお兄さんが切符を駅まで買いに走ってくれました。おおむね気持ちよく過ごすことができた宿でした。

Location is great, but that’s all for the price.

The best part about staying at this small in is it’s location, central and right on the fortress, however, dont expect a view from your window, just your front door. The room was tidy with very good air conditioning, however, the shower wasn’t exactly warm and a bit confusing to use. It’s 2 and 1/2 star accomodation, and what i paid i thought was quite expensive for this standard.
