I enjoyed the history of this hotel very much. It is very big on being gimmicky on the secondary building. Staff is amazing, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately the a/c system was not working in the entire building and our first night was very warm and uncomfortable even with the ceiling fan on highi, that only circulated the warm air. The a/c was fixed the next day and was comfortable but the next couple of nights to my stay were colder and then I found out the heating system also didn't work. The shower is dangerously slippery because the shower floor is tile. Myself and my lady both slipped in the shower multiple times. We will never stay at this hotel again. Also who thought it was a good idea to have an a/c vent inside the shower. The entire time in the shower you have condensation dripping on you off of the dirty ceiling. You are better off staying at other hotels. Friendly, helpful staff and gimmicks don't make a great hotel.

The staff was very nice and this place is a must see even if not staying at this hotel. We were really surprised when we walked in, it’s a lodge you would see at the Grand Canyon, with a lot of history. It has a nice large gift shop, and restaurant, and bar area you can dine in, a gem of a place.

The property had a vintage feel to it not like your ordinary modern hotels. It was absolutely enchanting, the room we stayed in Marxs brother's suite was perfect except for the shower, the drainage was not draining properly. And the room was not hunted as people had told me. It was peaceful spacious and beautiful. We will stay they again for sure.

Historical Stay

El Rancho is a unique vintage hotel. Its design and decoration makes the experience and atmosphere more memorable and its collection of memorabilia is extensive and entertaining. Despite the hotel’s history and age management has kept up with the times and the facilities are well maintained and clean.

This hotel is darling. The movie history, which flows into the rooms, is captivating and rare. The first and second floor reception and seating areas are welcoming, beautifully decorated and charming. I would definitely stay here again.

Cozy and unique experience

A unique stay, love the elevator and stairs, the room was cozy and clean. Never seen a hotel like this, felt like I entered a time machine. No complimentary breakfast, I was looking for something small. But complimentary coffee at least and the restaurant looked charming, next time I'll try it. PS that shower curtain is a little terrifying haha
