Hotel has seen better days! The rooms are very dated, with gross carpet, stained wallpaper and old beds. With no air conditioning, I’ve never been more uncomfortable sleeping. On the other hand, the staff were great, doing everything they could to ensure we had a good stay.

The drink glasses in the bathroom were dirty and smelled like alcohol and the floor was sticky. There was a beer can outside our window. We had an issue overnight with loud neighbors, they did come and ask them to keep it down but you can hear everything. I know it’s an older hotel but it’s something for people to keep in mind if they are hoping to sleep well. Service from the front desk staff and bar was wonderful. The food in the restaurant was good.

It was convenientt to the train station and all other attractions in town. It was easy to walk to shopping and dining venues. The staff was very welcoming and responded to the few simple requests that we had. The hotel was very dated. Carpet was very worn, the headboards on the beds were worn, and needed to be updated and did not to appear to be particularly clean.

We came into Galway during severe rush hour traffic. I knew the hotel offered validation for a couple of parking garages but I didn’t yet know where they were, so I parallel parked right around the corner to unload our suitcases. The woman at reception told me “oh don’t park there, there are a bunch of hostels and homeless people and it’s very unsafe.” IT’S RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER FROM YOUR HOTEL!! The decor was very basic and bare bones compared to other hotels we’d stayed at around Ireland in the same price range. On the plus side, we didn’t have to pay for parking at all, unusual for a hotel in a major city.

the room was so noisy both from the street noise and other rooms, building around it, that is was almost impossible to sleep. I would not book there again, especially for the cost.

Lovely hotel very friendly staff right in the centre of galway city . Unfortunately our room was very small and heat was something else also the elevator is extremely annoying as there is only 1 in the whole hotel and when trying to checknout the lift kept bring us up and down multiple times and not opening on the ground floor to let anyone out .
