The bathroom was exceptionally dark, and there was an odor coming from the drains. On our second night, the hallway smelled like someone had lit a campfire at one end. And on both nights we were there. Our room was very smoky. Ironic, given that the hotel charges a fee if there is even a hint of smoke odor in the room. We were told that the smell was because our room was over a lower floor fireplace, and we could have asked for a different room, but we had also been told the hotel was fully booked. But if you know, the fireplace is an issue, why rent the room? Or better yet why not fix the problem? The staff was generally very friendly.

This historic Inn is beautiful and really cozy and charming with excellent service. The restaurant has good options, they offer a free tea service in the afternoon and free coffee in the mornings. Free parking the rooms are very well appointed uncomfortable with nice linens and towels. Beautiful views from every room of the surrounding mountains and river. Definitely a bargain! For the quality & the service levels.

Wow, what a gorgeous time capsule from the early 20th century. This inn was beautiful with so much character. The staff was lovely, the bar and restaurant were great, and the surroundings were fabulous.
