Honestly, itâs not a bad stay. It is a convenient location but walking isnât the best option, itâs a pretty big hill to hike up after a long day of walking and itâs all up hill on the walk home. Communication was great, check in was easy. There were plenty of plates/glassware/silverware.
The big negative for us were the beds. The bunkbeds are pretty firm and theyâre low so sitting up on them is impossible. And the bed in the bedroom is also super hard with no boxspring or support under it so your head falls down/under the head board area.
Overall the place was nice and suited my Family needs for a quick getaway. Shower water could be hotter(lukewarm). The main issue with the place is the bed and bunk beds. I have slept on Rocks that are softer. It would be a significantly better stay if the owner would invest a few more dollars in good mattresses and mattress protector. A Brooklyn Bedding, Layla or Purple.
So, I am not dinging them greatly on the mattress issue or warmish shower water because overall the place was good.
Note if plan to walk to Downtown Gatlinburg, the trip down is easy. The trip up is just over half a mile and 300 plus feet elevation climb.
