Great stay!! The driveway is steep and my car drug pulling in and out. No other issues. Very clean and the hot tub was great! Great location and close to town yet lots of privacy!
Check-in was extremely easy. Kitchen was well stocked and clean. We will definitely refer Slinger Ridge Retreat to our friends. Great place for a honeymoon retreat. Very quiet and peaceful.
This is our third visit to the smokies and by far my favorite cabin we have booked. First off, the cabin was spotless. Iâm a bit of a germafob but didnât have any issues with the cabin. Second, the amenities made this place feel like home. I was skeptical of what the coffee bar entailed but was pleasantly surprised with the options. I finally got to try a Nespresso and Iâm glad because Iâll just stick to my Kurig. The location was great too. It was before the beginning of what I call the strip of Gburg. It made it easy to go to Pigeon Forge if needed. Also, the exit to the Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail is at the base of the road to the cabin. We ended our evenings with a ride through the park and basically ended back at the cabin. We even saw 2 bears. The ONLY con I have about the location is the road to get to the cabin is narrow toward the top. If you happen to meet someone on the road, one of you have to backup. However, this only happened once as it is at a dead end road.
We loved our stay in Justin and Kate's house. It began to rain soon after our arrival and it was magical to listen to the rain hitting the roof from the warmth of the covered hot tub. We also appreciated the little touches like the bathrobes (very helpful after the hot tub!), basic cooking provisions, and laundry pods in case we needed to do a little laundry during our stay. The bedroom and bathroom were nice and roomy - plenty of space for both of us to spread out our things. The proximity to town and the national park was also very convenient. We were sad we discovered the Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community Loop too late into our stay, as we much preferred its vibe to the bustle of the Parkway. Also loved Side Rail Eats, if guests are interested in a place off the beaten path. Thanks again for a great vacation getaway!
My husband and I stayed four nights. The cabin is neat and tidy. On a very quiet street away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg , but still a short drive to the restaurants and activities the city has to offer. The jacuzzi on the porch was a nice bonus. Definitely recommend this home. It was just perfect for us (and Iâm picky)!
Will definitely book this cabin again. First thing I noticed was just how clean it was. The cabin had every amenity you could think of. Loved the gas fireplace and the coffee bar and was conveniently located close to the strip. Overall a wonderful vacation!
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and we enjoyed every minute of it, the cabin feels very cozy and relaxing the jacuzzi tub is massive, they have a wonderful coffee bar and out door set up. The few questions we did have the hosts answered quickly and very friendly. We are definitely looking forward to booking in the future!
The terrible thing was leaving. Thatâs it. I knew the minute we got there, that I wanted to stay an additional night, which Justin had kindly offered at a discounted rate. My husband likes to wait for the last minute though, so we missed out & had to leave this cozy, clean, cute cabin where I soaked in a large jetted tub as I got hopped up on coffee each morning. I had to pack up & leave this quiet retreat where I soaked each long day of exploration away, in the hot tub on the deck. The winding road & steep driveway just added to the mountain feel. Love, love, LOVED it!!!
Had a relaxing time in the mountains with a nice fire place and hot tub combo. The only issue we had really was we couldn't get the bedroom ceiling fan to work, dont know if it was in need of repairs or we were just clumsy to the power switch. But overall we had a lovely time and would recommend to anyone in need of a retreat from daily life!
We loved this place. Its a short distance from town and you can pop into the 1st public parking and avoid traffic to walk the area. It has a short steep driveway but allows your view to be over the couple of neighbors. Bed slept great, Coffee bar was a nice treat, view from hot tub is awesome. Very well laid out and open spaces : )
Perfect spot to be close to all Gatlinburg has to offer but still secluded enough for a great getaway. The road is a narrow mountain road but easy to navigate. Definitely need 4WD and chains in snow or ice though.
Slinger Ridge was a lovely place to stay and retreat for a few days while we were in town checking out the area. Close to Gatlinburg and Smoky Mtns and if you elect to just stay in and enjoy the space it's perfect to retreat to and have a little couple's getaway.
Was a perfect location the weather was chilly and the house inside was warm with a fireplace. We saw a family of deer for two or three days in a row. We had so much fun.
Was always skeptical of any vacation stays as Iâm always used to hotels and the like but had such a great experience and will continue to search for other VRBO options based on this great place and great first experience through this VRBO property!
Wonderful stay. Only complaint was that it was too short! Loved all the amenities, especially the coffee bar and the arcade games that brought back old memories! Saw a bear on our way to town one morning. Would love to come back!
We loved our stay at this cabin! It is close to everything but far enough away to be peaceful. We booked last minute but the hosts were very responsive and checking in was quick and easy! The cabin is very clean and decorated beautifully, so cozy. The coffee bar is a great touch. We even played a few games on the little arcade :) Thereâs a family of bears near the cabin that we got to see several times coming and going!!! Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin for a very nice staycation.
Perfect blend of comfort and cleanliness.
We had everything we needed for a long weekend there.
The road leading in is extremely narrow and windy, steep driveway, be aware of this.
The cabin and amenities were perfect!
5 minutes from Gatlinburg, Roaring fork and a grocery s3!
