When the owner says bears open car doors, believe him! We weren't there more than 10 mins and a bear had helped himself to some snacks we forgot in the carâno damage to the car, but he clearly knows what heâs doing. His visit didnât impact our rating. The road to the cabin is steep, narrow, and unguarded. If you're not confident on mountain roads, skip it. The driveway is also steep; we managed in a minivan but wouldnât risk it in winter. The cabin is clean but modestâno views, just dense woods, with some road noise. Pros: strong water pressure, instant hot water, soft beds, well-stocked kitchen, plenty of towels/blankets. Cons: mold in bathroom, leak over bed, broken sliding door lock, blinds donât fully close, low shower head downstairs, loud fan upstairs, fridge light out, unstable porch chairs. Owner responded quickly and offered maintenance. He said he'd make property management aware for future visitors. It served our needs, and communication was excellent, but it's not a place we'd likely return to mainly due to the roads and the driveway and wanting something a little quieter/private.
