We had an incredible vacation for our first time in the Smoky Mountains and our host, Keith, was welcoming and super responsive. The view was awesome and it was really nice to be further away from the hustle and bustle of town. Potential bookers should know the cabin is about 15-20 min from a grocery store. The shuttle into Gatlinburg was a great way to avoid the annoying and expensive search for parking. The home was perfect and comfortable for our family of four (kids 7 and 9). However, given that the game room with the bunk beds is not accessible from inside the main space, Iâm not sure it would have been comfortable if weâd been traveling with another family like weâd hoped to, especially with our kids being on the younger side. A few notes that are all addressable: - the listing should be clearer that the game room is not accessible from the main space, since that makes it not a viable sleeping option for younger kids on their own. Probably a bonus for older kids :)- the kitchen was definitely missing some essentials. The only stemware was a single champagne flute and there werenât any measuring cups we could find. - the jets on the hot tub only worked on one side. We still really enjoyed the hot tub. - there are a couple trees that are kind of view killers - one right in front of the hot tub and one in front of the deck by the fire pit. Cutting those would really allow the incredible view to shine. - one of the deck chairs was broken We would come back!
