We planned a week long family vacation in this beautiful cabin, and it did not disappoint. We range in age from 2 years to 76 years with 6 adults, 4 children and one dog. This house was comfortable and fun for all! The theater room was truly like being in a movie theater! The game room was fun for all ages. The hot tub was wonderful and clean. I would love to tell you about the restaurants in the area, but we loved the house so much, we ate all meals there. We enjoyed every inch of this big cabin. The kitchen is fully stocked with nice pots/pans and plenty of dishes. The ice maker did not work, despite prompt response from Andrew (property management). We bought bags of ice when we made grocery runs, so not a big deal.
We all had plenty of space to gather as a group but also to have time alone. I particularly enjoyed the balconies in the morning and evening. We saw plenty of bears!
We were a short drive to downtown and the entrance to the national park. Some other reviews comment about the treacherous drive to the house. I have to agree! It truly depends on which route you take. I figured out quickly to avoid Alpenrose! If you are adventurous, take that road. If not, take if from me, there are kinder ways to get up the mountain. In fact, "Alpenrose" has become one of the family jokes.
Andrew was amazing from my first inquiry about the property until check out! Even on Sunday, which happened to be Father's Day, he was quick to respond.
I highly recommend!
