Things to love, and I mean love... we saw bears. A family (adult and three babies) just crawled up from underneath the cabin and moseyed on down the street. The views were great, we loved not having anyone right up against us (neighbors were far enough away we could see them but not hear them). The hottub was great (clean and worked well). The driveway in on the main floor. No stairs from it, no steep pitch, just a nice little spot to park and climb out (which was a concern compared to the neighboring cabins). We really only had two complaints: The shower definitely needs an upgrade and the directions to get to the cabin. If you have an iphone, follow your iphone map instead. The directions given from the property management are harrowing to say the least. Even a doordasher freaked out because he'd never been up something so steep and scary. HOWEVER, my maps on my iphone brought us up Bypass to Ski Mountain Road with very little issue and took us right to the cabin (even though the email claimed it wouldn't). My husband was convinced the directions given were trying to crash us before getting there.
Overall it was a good stay. Its a beautiful place. But there could have been a couple things, like extra blankets, a shovel and salt for the snow and maybe a small rug when youenter
Overall pleasant stay. Great location near Ober Gatlinburg. Main drawback was hot tub, not very hot and was old, worn and ripped. Gas fireplace was warm and cozy. Natural lighting through windows in upstairs bedroom was refreshingly inviting. Couches on main and lower levels were comfortable. Getting up and down the stairs might be issue for seniors. If they fix the hot tub situation we would definitely go back again.
We loved our stay. The cabin was so beautiful. I love the community itâs in and would love to come back in the summer for more days just to experience the community amenities. 3 nights wasnât long enough! Thanks so much!
Got the the cabin at 4pm, unpack etc, fireplace did not work, refrigerator door handle broken, dust bunnies on the floor, mop laying on porch dirty, no lights on back porch where the grill was. Called about the fireplace and Yolanda, proceeded to call maint. and forgot to mute the phine and was talking trash about us, because their stuff was broken. Got the mamager Princess and she tried to salavge the terrible aervice we recieved. 500 for one night and I would not rent this or from that company again. Disappointed to say the least. View was great, theres that.
I do not recommend anything thatâs by cabins for you
location was excellent, very clean, check-in process was seamless, but experienced several issues. Had messaged about early check in weeks before, was told that we would need to talk to somebody that day. The company called me to go over check-in, they told me that itâs $25 additional an hour or if youâre a member you can check I at 3. We decided to skip checking in early and spent time in Gatlinburg, b/c our place had all of these amenities that we planned on spending most of our time at the cabin. When we checked in the hot tub was not working, the Internet was not working, the TVs were not working, essentially none of the amenities that this cabin talked about other than seclusion was offered. We checked in at 9pm expecting to be able to relax, instead I called and spoke with somebody, they would not let me speak with a supervisor, they basically told me I needed to try and flip breakers and reset routers and all of these things. Long story short they finally got the hot tub working the next day and it was warm the second night we stayed (not until late) They were not able to fix the Internet and they were not able to fix two of the TVs. And they would not offer any kind of refund, they did give me $150 visa gift card that I can only use online for online shopping. Our 15 year wedding anniversary trip with no kids and I spent so much time troubleshooting and on the phone. Beware this company has â24 hoursâ to fix things, and we only stayed 2 nights, very disappointed.
Overall the stay was amazing.
did have difficulties checking in.
Come to find out the internet's gateway was down and we could not use the keypad lock. Contacted the host and they sent out maintenance.
he got us in!
Also the Hot tub was not working at arrival we asked maintenance about it..and he had to go and turn on the breaker.
next day breaker blew again and the hot tub was not working again, it affected the fireplace and tv too... didnt bother calling for maintenance bc the pool table room had a working tv.
but besides that..scenery was beautiful.. it was quiet and peaceful. would love to be here again.
The property was great and well kept.
Views at the cabin are slim to non and the access to the cabin is like a goat trail. We did however have a full size truck with a Harley in the back. I do not recommend taking a full size truck.
Nice cabin and perfect for our stay for our wedding anniversary. A couple of things I wasnât aware of that would have been nice to know before booking is that the fireplace isnât allowed to be used spring (I donât remember exact month that was specified) through the end of September which was a bit of a disappointment since I had planned on relaxing in front of the fireplace in the evenings. Also, the beautiful view that is in a couple of the pictures is only visible from the porch off the bedroomâŠview from most windows in the house is just very close trees. Check-in was very easy, as was check-outâŠthe road to get to the cabin is very narrow and steep in a few places as mentioned in other reviews. There is one turn that our full length F-350 dually truck couldnât make (we had to do a 3 point turn each time) but the road itself is in good repair and I never felt unsafe driving on it. The turn into the driveway is also narrow, but our dually made it, so smaller vehicles should have no issue. Overall good place to stay, and we would stay here again.
My husband and I just stayed three days at this cabin. Definitely recommend! Very nice and well kept. Had everything we needed for our stay. Was a great location up in the mountains and a short drive from downtown Gatlinburgâs strip. We saw so many bear on our trip. Most were in the neighborhood of our cabin! Definitely enjoyed that. If youâre looking at booking this cabin for your upcoming trip, I would do it! Great price for such a great cabin.
We went to the Mountain Music Festival which was a 3 day event and this place was 10â from the convention center. Thereâs not much of a Mountain View except from the bedroom. Our intentions of this trip was to be out and about so we knew what the lack of a view entailed but for us it was perfect. Nice pool table and huge master. It was 103 down there this year and the hot tub wasnât much use with that kinda temperature but nice option. No neighbors on top of you. Weâve been down in this area a half dozen times and it was the first time we saw bear, a lot of bear almost every day. First time doing Hillbilly Golf which was fun, Tom & Earlâs back alley tavern is a must and they have $2/hr parking right there which is unheard of in Gatlinburg, most lots are a flat $20.also must hit 3 Jimmyâs and Fox and Parrot Tavrrn. Great 31st anniversary trip!
The Smoky Getaway was exactly what we wanted. Great space for 4+ people and very clean! Had a great time viewing a momma bear and her 3 cubs. The pool and club house on village loop was perfect!
Spent the week here for my girlfriendâs birthday, she absolutely loved it. It was her favorite vacation ever. Loved the hot tub, kitchen, bed, three balconies. Everything was easy and smooth. Drive up the mountain was a little scary at first but we got used to it. We saw 4 bears
We really enjoyed the Cabin. Everything was clean and nice just as described in the listing! And the views of downtown especially at night were spectacular! We will definitely book this cabin again in the future!
