Villa Djebel Musa ist eine romantische, farbenfrohe, wunderschön gepflegte, von Architekten entworfene Villa mit einem Infinity-Pool. Der Garten ist eine Mischung aus reifen exotischen Palmen zwischen Felsen und StrĂ€uchern sowie wilden Oliven und JohannisbrotbĂ€umen voller Singvögel auf einem HĂŒgel am sĂŒdlichen Rand des hĂŒbschen "weißen Dorfes" von Gaucin.

„Die beste Aussicht, die wir in Spanien gesehen haben", sagte ein Reiseunternehmen. Ein wirklich atemberaubendes Anwesen mit „Wow-Effekt!“. Hoher Standard in Bezug auf Ausstattung und Instandhaltung.

Ein doppelhoher offener Wohnraum mit Ministrelsgalerie fĂŒhrt zu einer großen ĂŒberdachten Veranda. Ein Torbogen fĂŒhrt zum großen Speisesaal mit eigener ĂŒberdachter Terrasse.

beautiful house, beautiful view

We spent two weeks in October/November 23 in this very beautiful house with view to the coast and on clear days till Marocco and enjoyed our time there very much!! we were a bit unlucky with the wheather (deperately needed rain) but enjoyed the open fire place and the well equipped kitchen; the terrace, the view and the pool on sunny days are just breathtaking. The area is beautiful. If you are up for driving, you can go on stunning excursions - to Grazalema, Zahara, SĂ©tenil, Ronda, the Caminito del Rey and take great walks in the Sierra de Grazalema. Because we liked this mountain area very much, we didn't much go to the coast (just once in two weeks) but rather enjoyed the sunny days by the house. Both Mark and Esther (the house manager) were very helpful whenever we had questions or needed help with some house management. Thanks for offering this villa maravilloso up for rent, our group of eight (between 13 and 82) spent happy times here (and there is enough space and privacy for everyone)!!! GaucĂ­n is also a lot of fun to explore, there are many restaurants and tapas bar, even livelier in summer but also in October there were enough opportunities do dine out.

High expectations exceeded

The house has a truly unique flair - you immediately realize someone took time and effort to make it homely. Being it the authentic Andalusian touch, the open fire-place, the huge book (English language) and DVD library - it is all give to feel home. We’ve been there with our 5 and 3 years old daughters, and there is clearly enough space for quite active kids. A family of 6 really shall find enough space. The 3 kingsized bedrooms are all en-suite As we visited the estate in March and whether clearly underperformed our expectations, the (good northern European Standard) central heating was priceless
 Next time we travel to Andalusia, we‘ll book it again.

Besser geht es nicht!

Ein tolles Haus mit einem sogar beheiztem Pool, der zum verweilen einlĂ€dt. Die Kinder waren gar nicht mehr aus dem Wasser zubekommen. Das Haus ist sehr großzĂŒgig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die 3 Hauptschlafzimmer haben alle einen Balkon mit einem Blick, der an guten Tagen bis zur Afrikanischen KĂŒste reicht. Gleiches gilt fĂŒr die 2 Terassen. Kleines Manko: Die 2 weiteren (kleineren) Schlafzimmer befinden sich in einer Art Einliegerwohnung und sind mit dem Haupthaus ĂŒber eine Außentreppe verbunden. Aber: Unsere 4 Kinder fanden es toll und hatten ihr eigenes Reich. Insgesamt eine top Location mit einer tollen Betreuung durch Max und Esther. Wir kommen wieder.

Wunderschönes Haus in phantastischer Lage

Wir haben mit drei Familien und erwachsenen Kindern wundervolle zehn Tage in der Villa verbracht. UrsprĂŒnglich hatten wir vor, mindestes jeden zweiten Tag ans Meer zu fahren, wir sind nicht einmal gefahren, da wir im Garten und am Pool die pure Entspannung genießen konnten. Das morgendliche Erwachen ist ein Genuss, Augen auf und man blickt ins Tal, bis nach Gibraltar und bei gutem Wetter sogar bis nach Marokko. Im Haus fehlt es an nichts, in Gaucin findet man alles was man braucht und wer Ruhe in einem sehr schönen Ambiente sucht, ist hier richtig. Vielen Dank, dass man diese Villa mieten kann.

Just returned from a wonderful relaxing holiday in this beautiful villa. We were charmed by the village of Gaucín and its fabulous range of bars and restaurants. The villa itself its outstanding with so many different areas in which to sit back and soak in the amazing views. Extremely well maintained and equipped, we wouldn’t hesitate to return. Wonderful Getaway

We had a wonderful time at the house. It is a beautiful location and property. Really stunning and full of personality. Be aware, there are a lot of stairs in the property but we have that at our own home so our young girls weren’t phased and Mark had warned us when booking. We had a great week staying at the villa. The views are amazing and we had everything we needed for our holiday. I'd advise any guests with a large car to avoid driving through the village - you can park near the bus stop on the main road and it's less than a 10 min walk.

An 80th Birthday Celebration

We were very happy to be staying in such a lovely location We all loved the village of Gauchin and the small supermarkets met all our requirements. We drove down to the coast twice to swim in the sea and enjoy the beaches and even got up early to catch a ferry to spend the day in Tangier. As for the house it lived up to all our expectations and the infinity pool was just lovely with lots of shade/sunny spots around the pool. The well stocked garden was a joy to walk around and was tended by a gardener.We would love to come back one day. Thank you Mark for being the perfect host.

Great Short Stay In Gaucin

Amazing property in a beautiful spanish mountain village. Both the owners and the property manager were extrmemly reliable. Our messages were answered promptly and any concerns were addressed. The pool and the gardens are stunning! The amount of effort that goes into the upkeep of this property is incredible. The only downside of the property really is the wifi. The wifi was really only available in the living room, kitchen and balcony adjacent to the dining area. Both bedrooms in the main house were dead zones and the Master bedroom was only a faint signal that kept cutting out. I realize there was a booster but I would highly recommend adding another or reconfiguring the wifi to expand the coverage. If you want to take your property experience next level I would explore options that allow lodgers to access it poolside. I had work emails to respond to and it would ha e been amazing if wifi available by the pool. The only other suggestion would be more lighting by the pool for ambiance. (Consider maybe investing in some solar lights) We added some to my folks backyard and it made all the difference. With all that said I would still rate the whole experience 4.75 / 5 ! If you want a relaxing experience with an amazing view this property does not disappoint!

Beautiful villa in wonderful mountain village location with stunning views.

We were not disappointed when arriving at the villa. The property is amazing - spacious and beautifully decorated. As a multi-generational family of 9, we had all we could possibly need. Space, great weather - the grandchildren fully enjoyed the pool, wonderful walks and the most breathtaking and stunning views. When not in the water, the children spent their time vulture spotting. Mark is a superb host and helped us source medical care for a family emergency. He responded quickly to emails and was only a phone call away if needed. We certainly all fell in love with the village and I would highly recommend a stay there.

Stay at Gaucin

We had a magical stay at Mark and Star’s Villa in Gaucin. The pictures do not do the location and views justice, a truly stunning place. There was ample room for the 8 guests with various spaces to relax, eat and sunbathe, and we particularly enjoyed eating as the sun set on the terrace. Gaucin is a great place with lots of restaurants and groceries available and we were lucky enough to be at the first food festival held over the weekend. As with other reviews the are a few things in the villa that could be updated, but this did not deter from the stay. I really didn’t want leave and to me that says everything about the villa and hosts
