The check-in service is abysmal. After check in online I had to wait 40 minutes before my code to enter the building was emailed to me. It was late at night and nobody picked up the supposedly 24/7 help line when I called to understand how long I’d have to wait for the code. I decided to go to another hotel and there was no apology, let alone an offer to refund me.

Apartment and location were fine, but checking in around 5.30pm was a nightmare. Reception was not staffed, and I was not sent an access code in advance, so had to scan the QR code on the street door. This asked for name and booking reference, did not accept my Expedia email itinerary number, eventually worked with confirmation number from Expedia web page. This opened a form where I had to enter all of my passport details *and* upload a photo of my passport, prompting an email that said the access code would be sent only if they received a picture of my ID, and included another reservation number. Using the QR code a third time with that number prompted another email saying the self-check-in process had been completed and that an access code would be sent if payment had been completed, but no code arrived. We were rescued by a very helpful member of staff who was just about to leave for the evening; she called the office who promised to look into it. After another 5-10 minutes they sent the access code and we were able to get in. If we'd arrived slightly later and had not been helped by that person we would have been unable to access the apartment - the phone number on the door is stated as only available until 6pm. Expedia should have explained prior registration requirements in the confirmation email, not buried in the itinerary web page (which wrongly states *front desk* is open until 6pm). The several advance emails from VISIONAPARTMENTS did not mention these either.

BED BUGS! (and lousy customer service) We booked a three-night stay at the VISIONAPARTMENTS Geneva Mont-Blanc. After the first night, I had bed bug bites on my legs. A photograph of the bites did not convince them of the problem. I would stay away.

My hotel room had a bed bug crawling across the mattress. That can happen at any hotel, but I checked in 3 times to ensure that the hotel was properly cleaned after I left (I obviously changed hotels), and I was just told I could call they general customer service if I had a complaint. I was refunded, which I appreciate, but not fully (350 euro of 400). I would really recommend avoiding. Bad things can happen anywhere, but it concerns me how poor their response was.

Functional room, helpful staff but TV issues.

Helpful staff on the phone guiding the process of self check-in. Was smooth. Nice clean room but no kitchenette as the name apartment would imply. Great location. Only one English language TV cable channel with signal.

Communication were brilliant, but room facilities wasn’t good. When light was on a loud noise can be heard, I think it was something to do with one of the lamps. The TV wasn’t having a great network, channels were frozen and remote control was not clean and wasn’t working. Carpet didn’t give a clean feeling and looked dark.

We had a great stay here. The rooms were clean and well organized. The bed and room temperature were comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located with great restaurants just outside the door, and with only a five-minute walk to the lake. The only challenge we had was checking in. We knew that check in was not until 3:00pm but hoped to leave our bags at the desk. However, when we arrived around 1:00pm, there was nobody at the front desk. There was a kind service personnel who helped store our bags for us. Also, many hotels provided guests with a travel card to use on the local trains, but we did not receive this. I am not sure if it is because the property is not officially a hotel, but it was surprising to hear that this seemed to come standard at all hotels in the city. Overall, it was a great stay for the value!
