I came to ArendsRus to unwind after a hectic work trip, and it was truly what I needed. Charne and her team are friendly, welcoming and so helpful. The room I had overlooked the forest and I saw so many birds and monkeys. I really hope to come back again for a longer stay in future.
We enjoyed our two night stay, staff worked hard to please us. Rooms are comfortable and bathrooms nice. Well supplied with coffee, tea and milk etc complimentary sherry and rusks. Fridge, kettle etc provided. Good WiFi There are items in the mini bar to purchase Restaurant has a good menu but during our stay, meals had to be preordered before 2 pm. I expect this was not normally required. Gardens and flora are spacious and very well taken care of, tv and microwave etc are available in the main building and a bar is also located there. It took us about 20 minutes to drive to town where one can find everything you may need . No ac and tv in the rooms which was not an issue for us.
We had a lovely stay at Arendsrus Country Lodge. The staff were so friendly and helpful, especially with our kids. We would love to be back soon! The peace & quiet & beautiful scenery is unrivaled.
Lovely place with extremely friendly and helpful staff- they could not do enough to be helpful and welcoming. The monkeys visiting the balcony each morning were lovely too heheh. Evening meals were of good quality homely style, in big portions. Loved the little touches like the complimentary truffles and sweet wine - plus I have never encountered rose petals in the loo before. There are 2 rooms per cottage unit but I was never conscious of the people in the adjacent room. This is a lovely place - don’t hesitate to stay there.
Excellent location views service welcoming cleanliness staff etc.
My wife and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at Arendsrus.
We will recommend Arendsrus to eveybody we know.
Definitely be back on next trip.
The lodge is a long way out of town and not suitable as a destination if you are wanting to do business in George. It is however an amazing location for a peaceful, country break that has beautiful moments of serenity and beauty. The bathroom was under construction and so breakfast was a little noisy.
Phenomenal!!!!!!! My range of vocabulary can not do this place justice. The lodge itself is set in a beautiful picturesque location at the foot of a mountain. The staff were so accommodating as I made an error of booking 2 single beds by mistake but the host gave us the honeymoon suite for no extra charge as well as carrying my suitcase to the room. The room it self is beautifully decorated throughout with wood and the bathroom has a separate shower and bath. It has the added bonus of some complementary sherry and chocolates. Breakfast was cooked perfectly and there is a large choice of fresh and cooked products. This room is easily 5 star and such good value for money that I would gladly have paid more and would thoroughly recommend to anyone with anyone without hesitation. My only regret is only staying 1 night
I travelled from PE to CT with my mother and daughter. We broke the journey at Arendsrus and were pleasantly surprised by the facilities. My daughter (under 2 yrs) loved the play area and feeding the horses. Had it been warmer she would have been in the pool too! The accommodation was cosy but comfortable and the breakfast was enormous and varied... fruit juice, coffee, cold meats, cheeses, various breads, figs, yoghurt, jams and a cooked breakfast in addition.
Hier passt einfach alles.
