It’s a great hotel. Just starting to get a bit dated. The pleather headboard was peeling. We had a great night but for how much they charge they could start fixing these smaller things at least.

wonderful time

We love staying at the Ameristar. Staff very friendly, accommodating in every way and helpful. We dont make it up there as much as we use to but is our #1 choice of a place to stay when we do. Room very clean and comfortable. Parking is in abundance and have never felt in jeopardy.

Great room, customer service. Pool issues though.

Everything was great, the only disappointing part was the outdoor pool. My friend and I took a weekday trip partially to be able to go out and sit in their hot tub. Something was wrong with the chemicals and both of us had to get out within 5 minutes because our skin was getting irritated. So that was disappointing, but other than that, staff was great, room was great.

Loved the area, hotel, parking, and staff. Casino is very tight with payouts. There is not a large variety of games and denominations but this seemed to be a theme at all the casinos we played at in Blackhawk. Would go back but probably wouldn’t waste $100’s of dollars again without any significant win or even feeling like I could play a while without pumping in more money. Out of our party of 4 no one won or felt differently.

We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times and like it, but only 1-2 elevators go to the rooms were working. We were on the 10th floor and had to walk the stair case multiple times due to the extremely long lines to get on the elevators. For the price we pay, you’d think they could get those fixed prior to a weekend

I called ahead to ensure we could use the pool ahead of check-in at 2pm, and they said yes. When we arrived at 1:30, the staff said I called some call center and they couldn’t do that unless they charged me $20 for “early check in”. So that was frustrating. The room smelled faintly of pot smoke, which also plagues the parking garage. A couple people were walking around the lobby “hiding” their vaping like everyone couldn’t see it, no enforcement or staff doing anything about it. The pool area is nice, views are great, the beds were comfortable and the room mostly quiet. Food was good and priced fairly reasonably.

There was hair all over the bathroom from previous guests , The shower would not shut off it dripped all night , not all of the elevators were working , and they were extremely slow . We played cards and one of the dealers was EXTREMELY RUDE ! No interaction unless you did something wrong , ear plugs in , made payouts that were wrong numerous times . Just did not feel welcome when he was dealing
