We had a terrific time there. Very private and quiet. Games to play and a hot tub. Sky lights over the bed for star gazing. Complimentary Keurig coffee among other things. Tv and stereo. Free internet and wifi. Lots of windows to watch mother nature. Trails nearby. Host lives on the property but we never saw anyone. Secure with a fob controlled gate. No charge for our pet dog. Lots of deck area to sit in shade or sun. Horseshoe pit and cornhole game.I could go on, but you get the idea. Our host Marie, was very accommodating and pleasant. Thank you Marie and we will see you again.
This was a charming cabin! A much-needed retreat from the city, combining a restful stay with exploring the area (we especially enjoyed the stone church, the orchard/bakery, and the antique store). Marie was a gracious and communicative host, and keeps the Cabin clean and well-stocked. Would definitely love to return!
Check in/check out were a breeze. We did not cook while at the cabin but Kitchen appeared well stocked with cooking pots, pans, etc. Lots of different condiments in the refrigerator. Our favorite thing was how secluded the cabin feels while still being close to roads and only 10 minutes from town. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities at The Cabin and within an hours drive. We highly recommend you book a stay here.
It was very nice , quiet our dogs loved it .The hot was great for the first two days than it started turning off and on by it self and was cleaning the water but other than that it was very nice we would recommend it to friends
This is a magical little spot. We had plans to go kayaking for a fay but once we got there we just couldn't leave. A great little getaway from the everyday.
A lovely of quirky little cabin. Beautiful, great setting. The dogs got all the sniffs, including meeting our host, and one of her horses.Would definitely recommend this sweet, quiet little spot! Also, I'm better at horseshoes than my husband, so...
Had a wonderful visit with just myself and my dog at Marieâs cabin. It was an extremely hot week, unfortunately but my dog and I managed! We took in some trails and had a great relaxing time.
VRBO instructions didn't include how to open electronic gate. No internet at the road and no way to contact the owner. Fortunately after waiting half hour a hired hand was leaving and showed us where the gate key was. Owner forgot we were arriving on June 29 and cabin wasn't cleaned. We waited an hour while they cleaned the bathroom and brought towels and bedding. The bed in the loft was hot and the log steps were awkward to navigate. Some window cranks wouldn't work.
The day was good very good. Getting around to shopping antique stores et cetera including Lake Simcoe very easy and convenient. Our host was simply amazing and her horses the same if you get a chance to visit with them itâs worthwhile and just loved her dog Dodge. No complaints here at all
A lovely and cozy getaway that isn't too far from Toronto. In addition to the amenities and the walking trails, we had the additional pleasure of greeting and feeding some horses. We had a great time. If Vrbo doesn't send you the property access instructions, contact the host by phone
This week turned out to be mostly rainy, but I was surprised just how relaxing this cabin was nonetheless. Well stocked, everything works very well, great value... Definitely check it out! Very charming people too, thank you for providing us this little resort. Cheers!
We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was great! The owner was helpful in every way! She has beautiful horses! The area all around is so beautiful! We had a great experience in Canada!
Marie was super friendly, quick to respond and accommodating. Found some great hiking trails nearby and really enjoyed getting out in nature. Close enough to town to get groceries and supplies but still removed.
Spouse and I had a nice break for our daily routines during our weekend stay at the cabin. The cabin was quiet and cozy with many modern amenities: My first time in a cabin and I didn't realize cabins could have electric kettles to make a nice hot tea in the morning.
Great little spot! Close enough to the city and just far enough away. It feels like youâre the only person for miles. The property owner is a delight. Loves this little wooded retreat
Watching rainfall on the skylight is amazing and very romantic. The board game nook has a low ceiling but once youâre sitting it isnât an issue. Also playing games downstairs in front of the fireplace is fantastic. The bed is super comfortable. Much better than most places Iâve stayed. Marie is super easy to contact if you need her. A tree came down across the driveway while we were there and within a couple hours she came through with a truck and a chainsaw so we could make our checkout time. Highly recommend.
My new husband and I took advantage of the Valentine/family day weekend and booked this little cabin to stay in. We came here on our honeymoon in October and loved it. And we had booked it before we even stayed the first time for this weekend. We even got to meet her new baby horse - so adorable and as we affectionately called him âextra spicyâ little attitude. Canât wait for our next stay!
Booked a midweek winter getaway for my girlfriend's birthday. This was a wonderful escape from life into the woods with a hot tub to soak in and a lot of personal touches from the host.Marie was very welcoming and introduced us to her lovely horses. We will definitely be returning soon!
The pictures do not do this location justice. It's very cozy but not small by any means. Lots of places to relax, play games and enjoy the atmosphere. Property is well maintained both inside and out and the check-in process was very easy. We went to Keswick a few times and lots of nice places to shop and eat there. We will definately come back.
It was a nice space to share with a partner for a few days. Conveniently close to a town and not far from the big city. Easy to get to and the hottub was nice.
Could use some curtains in the bedroom with all the windows to sleep easier, and a bigger hot water tank, but overall really nice
