Nice new hotel in a historic building. Not a bad area, but it's a 15 minute walk to city center, which was fine in good weather, but not the most convenient during rainy or cold days. There are no trams or buses that are easily accessible from the hotel. Not much in the area during the weekends, it appears some restaurants are only open on weekdays. Less than 15 minute walk from Gent St Pieters station (slight uphill). Though the showers are new, they have an old style mixing valve with separate controls for hot and cold water. It's hard to dial in the right temperature and the temperature changes during a shower. I'm surprised this is legal, since every other hotel I've stayed in Belgium have thermostatic valves with precise temperature control. The shower hose is a cheap rubber one and very stiff, making it near impossible to position correctly in the holder.

Interesting, imaginative conversion and very successful space. Really friendly staff and nice rooms. Be aware, and I didnt see it on site, that restaurant and bar does not open on Sundays or Mondays. Staff went out of their way to recommend alternatives, some in locality which were good but pretty busy.

Beautiful building and setting. Sadly the hotel is style over substance. There is no sound proofing in the rooms, so we hardly slept. All we could hear were doors slamming, toilets flushing and banging on the stairs. The staff were not interested when we complained.

Mooi nieuw hotel, prettige ruime kamer en zeer goed bed. Verwarming stond wel veel te hoog (21C), gelukkig wel zelf te bedienen en gelukkig kon raam ook open (hing beetje vreemde verf/betonlucht in de kamer) Onze kamer werd na 1 nacht al schoongemaakt en we kregen nieuwe handdoeken, op zich fijn, maar niet nodig en niet goed voor milieu. Beter de regel ‘handdoek op de grond’ hanteren. Ontbijt op zich goed, wel aan de prijs en de krukjes in restaurant zitten wel erg onaangenaam. Dat je na betaling voor de kamer alsnog je kaart moet scannen om voor 120 euro garant te staan is vreemd en wordt nergens gecommuniceerd. Fijn dat je voor en na verblijf je bagage al kan stallen.

Cool, artistic and fun designed hotel. We really loved our room with a queen size bed and a bunk bed. And it’s easy and feels safe to park the car on the street outside. Sadly for us they changed the breakfast times for Saturdays without information. From 7 am to 8 am. For us this made a big difference, because we knew beforehand that we had to leave 7.30 am for the ferry to England and we missed out of the breaks booked according to the information online.

Das Zimmer war schön gross und und luftig, durch die Höhe. Es war ruhig zum Innenhof und besonders gefielen uns der Wasserspender auf dem gang und der Dach Pool, der auch jetzt im Dezember auf war und von uns gut genutzt wurde ! Im grossen Zimmer fehlte mir min.ein 2.ter Stuhl und in dem Fernseher war nicht klar, wie man auf deutsche Sender kommen könnte. Die Gesamt Anlage ist großartig und beeindruckend...

la camera era fredda, usciva solo aria tiepida, il pannello di controllo non permetteva la regolazione della temperatura. Inoltre la bocchetta dell'aria era rumorosa, per dormire ho dovuto togliere la card per spegnerla. Inoltre pur avendo mandato la targa per il parcheggio, non era stata registrata e non sono riuscito a entrare, ho dovuto fare marcia indietro con l'auto e rifare la registrazione.
