Hotel seems to be living on it's glory days and could do with some TLC. Elevator panels literally zip-tied to the wall and paintwork that needs refreshing. Our room was at the front of the property and there was a lot of noise coming in (I've stated in similarly old and located properties without this issue). The room had adjoining rooms both sides with just single doors, so again, any noise from the other rooms could be heard... drowned out only by the noisy heating fan. The hotel itself seems nice, service is fine and I didn't eat in the hotel but I wouldn't actively look to stay here again.

Nope! Not worth it.

I was expecting a lot more than we got based on the pictures and star rating of the hotel on this site. It wasn’t great. Elevator was sketchy, the hotel bar couldn’t make even a basic cocktail, and they only serve a very mediocre buffet breakfast. The room had a shower that wouldn’t drain, the carpet has holes in it, and the entire establishment looks like it hasn’t had any attention since the late 70’s. Not going to stay here again, as it was not at all worth the price they charge.

Good breakfast. Staff professional and helpful. We rented two rooms. My daughter said there were small moth like bugs in her room. She alerted the staff when we checked out so I am sure it has been handled. Shops just a couple of blocks away as well as several restaurants and pubs. The train station was right next door.

THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE FELT LIKE ‘WELL YOUR HERE WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? THAT WAS THE FEELING FROM CHECK IN TO CHECK OUT WITH BREAKFAST IN BETWEEN. THE BREAKFAST FOOD WAS AWFUL & THE SURROUNDINGS & AMBIANCE OF BREAKFAST WERE JUST AS BAD. THE ROOM WAS LARGE BUT TIRED & DATED WITH ONLY ONE SOCKET AVAILABLE OPPOSITE WHERE THE BED WAS SITUATED! THE TV KEPT ‘FREEZING’ SO NOT REALLY WATCHABLE. AT £188 PER NIGHT A LITTLE MORE IS EXPECTED.
