We loved our stay at Ships Haven. It had everything we needed in a beautiful spot and convenient location. Such a sweet time away for our family!

Wonderful experience all the way around
This is a very cute house in a perfect location. We enjoyed the beautiful views and the well stocked kitchen. Would certainly like to stay here again.

Great find
This was arguably the best location and setting weâve experienced in 30 years of coming to Glen Arbor. The home has incredible charm and the surroundings are truly special. That said, prospective renters should know that the house is older and the functionality reflects thatâjust 1.5 baths and a very small shower. We knew this going in, and it didnât take away from our stay, but itâs worth noting for others. All in all, weâd absolutely stay here again and hope to do so.

Excellent location!
This was a wonderful place for half a week on the lake, special memories with neighbors doing firework shows on the beach. The house has the best access to the sandy shore and a swim, and is walkable to the main street ice cream/dining/bars/shops. Though many people come down via the neighboring boardwalk, ours was private and neighbors so friendly. Still felt quiet and tranquil. We chose this location for the proximity to Sleeping Bear Dunes but found the exploring to Leland and Glen Lake made the location even more perfect. The temperature inside the house was unfortunately unbearable in early July since the cooling is limited to a few windows that open slightly for breeze overnight only and general cooling down at night, the fans helped but had to take cold showers and keep cold wet washcloths on with fans blowing to try to sleep. Probably not a frequent problem but choose your time of travel if you are sensitive to heat (and we are from Houston TX). The evenings outside on the beach, and cooling off in the chilly Lake Michigan helped make our stay worthwhile! Glen Arbor is beautiful. Kitchen and house amenities were plentiful. Our family of 6 navigated the bunks and single standing shower just fine. Kids had a blast. Bring shade for the beach days (we use a Shibumi that requires the breeze to stay aloft).
