Very nice property perfect even though we had torrential rain and 65 mile an hour wind. we made the use of the indoor arcade and even got in a few dips in the hot tub. Love the ocean front views. Bev Walker

PROS-Plenty of room! -Crystal clear hot tub, overlooking the beach. -Big windows with gorgeous views. -All bedrooms have doors toward the beach. -House was cleaner than average, but didn’t smell strongly.-Master on main. -Games in garage are a convenient time killer for all ages. Great local stores/products!-Saw an otter in the river out back!CONS-There is a river between the house and the beach
not a flowing river, just the end of a creek that lets out down the beach and collects there. It’s deep in the middle, a little yucky on the edges (in August).-Pictures make it appear as though you can walk straight onto the beach, but you’re actually up a small eroded rock cliff and are not supposed to climb down it, so must walk to the end of the neighborhood to a trail. It’s not far (4-5 houses), but if you are expecting/needing the direct access, it could be frustrating. -There’s a camera at each entrance. Great, right? But, there is one pointing out the walkway that leads to the hot tub and I don’t love the idea of my kids being potentially recorded in their bathing suits. ‘Well, just cover that one if you’re so concerned about it’
 My thought too, but the house rules say your stay can be immediately ended if cameras are covered. Now, the book also says they won’t be reviewing the footage unless there is an issue. Maybe I’m being overly paranoid
? -Resident neighbor is grouchy!-Local restaurants lacking. Overall, great property for larger/multi-family stays.

Perfect beach house stay

We loved this house! It has a great layout, was extremely clean, and comfortable. The house had everything we needed and the kitchen is well stocked to cook in. The house is right at the beach and has amazing views. We loved watching the really high tides and stormy weather the area was experiencing while we were there. There's a grocery store and restaurants within a couple miles of the house. We'll definitely stay here again!

The location and laid out the house is amazing! Just to be able to sit pretty much anywhere and see and hear the ocean is pretty amazing. We had a great time! Highly recommend.

Loved Beachhouse 101!

I will say the listing makes it look like you can walk outside and right to the water and that part is inaccurate. There are beach paths on either side of the little neighborhood the beachhouse is in, but to my disabled mom that was a big difference in her even attempting to go down to the water. She stayed mostly on the back porch where you do have a good view of the water and can hear the waves but you can't directly cross the rocks and cliff to the waves. And the big tub in the downstairs bath has jets but you can't use them, so it's just a soaker tub. We were happy with the hot tub there though if we wanted jets, but I would make that clear for guests in the listing too. Also, there is a homeowner's association with lots of special rules and notes in the guest book, including some about some unfriendly neighbors. We were fortunate not to have any interactions with them, but it's something to keep in mind if you're not expecting to deal with nosy neighbors. Everything else was exactly as listed and perfect. The house is gorgeous and comfy and cozy. We were worried we forgot skewers for the smores but we found some in the fully stocked kitchen. The arcade was a big hit, especially with my son. Each arcade machine has multiple games so he never ran out of choices. We played with some of the board games they provide, but beware the uneven Uno deck! Hehaha! The view is amazing and the waves could be heard throughout the house, which was so calming. 5/5 Stars!

Hot tub on the beach

Great trip to this property in Gold Beach, listing was a very short walk to the sandy beach. Hot tub worked great, there were plenty of activities within the house and plenty of room to operate in the kitchen and living space. Would go back again and stay with a large group.

Awesome house with amazing views!

We had a fantastic stay at Beach House 101! Right on the beach with an epic view. House is super clean and has everything you need (including a very well stocked kitchen). Back patio was awesome with multiple fire pits and a lovely spa looking out on the ocean. We fell asleep listening to the ocean on super comfortable beds. Just a short drive (1-2 miles) into town that had everything we needed. Can't say enough great things about this place. Highly recommend!

Great House on the Beach

We are a family of 6 and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home on the beach. It is a single family home directly on the beach. Access to the beach was a 2 minute walk to the end of the street. The neighborhood is small and quiet. It is 5 minute drive to Gold Beach where there are restaurants. We also drove to some of the lighthouses along the coast. The home has a well stocked kitchen and plenty of seating inside and outside. We enjoyed the hot tub on the patio overlooking the ocean. We walked along the beach and watched seals. Beautiful location.
