Staying at The Star was an overall good experience, only fault that I had was the pool areas were overly busy and no seats were ever available even despite going to the pool early at 8:30am. We found people would put down their towels, leave and then come back later. Makes it a bit difficult to enjoy the sun. We realise that it's important to share the space and within reason stay comfortable whilst on holidays. If someone was monitoring the seating area to make sure it wasn't getting abused by people and everyone got a fair chance at using the facilities it would have been good.

Overall the stay was very good in most aspects, the only concern i had was the condition of the room itself the bathroom was in need of a bit of a freshen up , the mirror needed replacing and there were several rust spots on the door frame, also some mould spots around the roof in the cupboard area near the room entrance

1. Check in slow.. over 20 minutes in line.. observed this was the norm for checkin. 2. Extra fold up bed booked & reconfirmed.. would be in room on arrival was not, had to follow it up. The mattress on this bed was slab hard. 3. Room view was out over a roof & aircon units, very unappealing.. some plants could have been put on outside to soften the look 4. Mould in sink under the edge 5. Outside of room was a large laundry cart, which was there majority of a day with visibly stained towels showing on top. Near lift well on cupboard towels were all over it. For a 5 star .. those sort of things should not happen. 6. Aircon noisy 7. No daily room servicing, if you wanted it you had to request it. 8. Hairdryer broken, replacement wouldn’t turn off on unit only at wall socket Plus side… walking distance to Broadbeach eateries etc & walking distance to Pacific Fair

The room was very small and I asked for a good view of the beach which I didn’t get but I got complementary afternoon tea stay was very nice staff was very helpful and kind very good place and end of the day i enjoyed everything..

Good clean rooms. Bit small for what we paid but ok. Body wash and shampoo ran out quickly so had to ask for more. Staff were great to deal with. Parking was free for us with multiple entry and exit allowed so it was very handy and great experience overall. Restaurant food was very good.

Was a great stay, enjoyed the separate lounge room to the bedroom. I thought it was great value for $6xx for the night with the valet parking and executive lounge included. Plus the buffet breakfast the next day is great. Would be keen to go again.
