The staff was very rude and the rooms were full of mosquitoes. It was no clean and it was smelling so bad. And while paying for the room, the receptionist was very rude and he was talking about how much money do we have in our accounts or not! I mean it was late at night when we checked in and he was asking these kind of questions and that too in a very unrespectful way. It was a bad experience. You need to improve cleanliness and your staff. They should know how to talk in a respectful way.

Impeccably, spotlessly clean, but somewhat dated. They could update their mattresses and bathroom and get a 5 star review. We spent over a week in Alberta in various establishments from lodges to hotels to motels, and my whole family agreed that this was the place we all slept the best. It's not much to look at, but it's extremely clean and quiet. Great outdoor pool and indoor hot tub. Easy walk to the grocery store. Otherwise Golden is a boring little place, but that's not a criticism of this motel. Our only setback was that it took quite a while to get checked in because nobody was at the desk. I called their number and after several attempts the gentleman came running in very apologetic for making me wait. Smooth sailing after that.

THIS STUPID GUY IN THE COUNTER ALLOWED SOMEONE TO PARK IN FRONT OF THE UNIT WHICH HE GAVE ME. YOU PAID FOR THIS RESERVATION AND THEY WOULD JUST LET SOMEONE TO PARK IN YOUR OWN SPACE. NEVER COMING BACK HERE!

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was extremely dirty everywhere — even the towels had dark stains, the window screens were torn, and the radiator in the bathroom was covered with grime. The sofa looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages, making it unpleasant to sit on. At night, the power went out when I used the hair dryer. There were also so many mosquitoes. For such a high price, the room was really not worth it. I will never come back again.

Capital D for Dumpster. Their Google pin takes you to the other side of the river other side of town. This wouldn’t be so bad if they were to answer their phone. The room itself was musty and moldy, with black mould in the washroom. This is what you get for $200+ in Golden. Avoid at all costs.
