About the accommodation
Renovated in 2021, the studio is a granny flat in a holiday home and has a small, well-equipped kitchenette as well as a shower and WC. The covered seating area offers a fantastic view over Lake Maggiore as far as Italy. In summer, a small pool, which is shared with the upper flat, provides refreshing moments. The surrounding area with vineyards, natural stone walls and small squares creates a peaceful atmosphere at any time of day.
Important to know
Access is via around 100 steps from the street. The house is therefore not suitable for people with walking difficulties or the elderly. Although a stair lift is available for the upper part of the stairs, the path still requires sure-footedness. The accommodation does not have its own car park, but there are plenty of parking spaces along Via Passaroro or in the village square.
Room layout
The studio offers space for two people and combines a living and sleeping area in one room. The furnishings are simple and modern, the large windows offer a view of the greenery and let in plenty of natural light. From the seating area you can enjoy the view of the lake and mountains - a place that invites you to linger during the day and wind down in the evening.
Location and connections
Gordemo is located at the entrance to the Verzasca Valley. Shopping facilities can be found in Gordola or Tenero, around ten minutes away by car. The Locarno-Ascona holiday region can be reached in a short time and offers a wide range of sporting, cultural and culinary opportunities. The nearest bus stop can be reached on foot in around 20 minutes.
Activities and experiences
The region invites you to explore in a variety of ways: Hike over the "Ponte Tibetano" suspension bridge, discover the "Ponte dei Salti" Roman bridge and take a dip in the Verzasca or let your gaze wander over the highest and lowest points in Switzerland from the summit of the Sassariente. Adventure-seekers can recreate the famous bungee jump from "Goldeneye" at the Verzasca dam. For a quieter experience, visit the markets and festivals in Ascona and Locarno.
