Lovely old fashioned style hotel, which has kept some of its most enduring characteristics whilst keeping up with modern needs.. Friendly and helpful staff, bedroom was clean and bed was comfortable.. Has a very dated lift, it works, offers insight into how old the building is..
Handy for train station (about a 3min walk) and central Gosford.. Has its own nice restaurant on site and plenty of choice of refreshments.. Other options are close by.. Can get noisy and busy if have a late night function on.
When I checked in, I specifically requested 3 times that my son is HIGHLY anaphylactic to dust and general cleanlinessâŠoverall the rooms were clean⊠but I really donât think they were âextra cleanâ as I requested.. luckily he didnât have a reaction that night. However, just as we were going to bed⊠something caught my eye but I tried not to make it obvious without them noticing⊠it was a cockroach crawling on the ceiling and down the wall to the bed head. My youngest son saw it and freaked outâŠ. I explained itâs normal that they always come out on a hot day / night
The bouncer on the door and the girl that checked me in were both friendly and helpful. The room was located on the 3rd floor and while small it was big enough for 1 person for 1 night, although I did not love sharing with a big ass cockroach, which no longer exists, I had to stay up till I could kill him!! The shared bathrooms have clearly been recently updated and were clean with a supply of towels and shampoo etc. I would not recommend staying here on a Friday or probably even a Saturday night as it is a night club that goes til 2.am, it would have been good to know this before booking as I would have booked elsewhere. Not the weekend place to stay if you need to get some sleep
The room was small and recently refurbished. Earplugs were provided but on this Thursday night there was no loud noise at all and I was able to enjoy a good night's sleep. The bathrooms were also recently refurbished, were very clean and well stocked.
